I just moved to a new state and that means a new school. I'm a really shy person until I feel comfortable enough around people, which is rare. But if anyone tries to pull anything, I'm not afraid to do something about it. Life would just be so much easier if I stayed at my old school, I wouldn't have to worry about fitting in all over again. What made it worse was the fact that is was the middle of the school year. Everyone would have had their cliques and I would be the lost new girl, great.
Waking up this morning was hard, I had so much anxiety I just wanted to throw up.
" (y/n)! HURRY UP! You are gonna be late for your first day of school, let's get moving!" said
(y/m/n). After hearing that I practically jumped out of bed. Getting ready I rushed downstairs to do chores and eat a quick breakfast. School started later here for some reason so I actually had time to eat. "I'm leaving now (y/n), don't forget to do your chores and make some friends!", says (y/m/n). "Will do," I say with a fake smile. My mom got her new job at the children's hospital and she worked day shift this week, so that means she leaves before I do. Shortly after I headed to the bus stop. Surprisingly I was the first one at the bus stop, but I spoke too soon.
A huge group of guys started coming my way. There were five boys total from what I could quickly tell. They were all taller than me so I felt intimidated just by their height alone. The first guy I noticed from the group had the cutest hair I've even seen, curls were piled on his head. I couldn't help but to imagine how soft they would feel, at the same time he could make them look badass. The next one I saw had cute rosey cheeks and looked the closest to my age. Then there was the skinner boy who had the best tooth gap I've ever since in my entire life. After that I quickly noticed the blonde, oh how he had the sweetest smile. Lastly there was the brunette who looked the tallest out of all of them. You could tell they were the popular group that no one messed with, and one wasn't afraid to show it either. " What do we have here!? Hey boys look at this cutie", said the noodle head. It was so weird, boys never really talked to me at my old school, let alone like this. "Come on Jack be nice to the lady," laughed the boy with the rosy cheeks. Well looks like we have a name for the noodle head, Jack. "What, I'm not allowed to make conversation. It's not my fault she's attractive," said Jack. Instantly my cheeks went red, I could feel my stomach start to turn. "Okay calm down Jack, Zach is just trying to make sure you only have undying love towards him only," said the cute boy with the tooth gap. "Exactly! See Daniel understands!,"said I guess now Zach. "Don't worry Jachary is real!" said Jack. At this point I'm just confused, but I act like I wasn't affected. That was until tooth gap boy or now Daniel brought me back into the conversation, at this point I prayed the bus would show up already. "Sorry bout all of that but what I wanted to ask you is what's your name?", asked Jack and Daniel at the same time. "I'm (y/n), I just moved here." "Cute name, I'm Jack, this is Daniel," pointing to the cute tooth gap boy, "this is Zach," pointing to the rosy cheeks boy, "this is Jonah," pointing to the cute taller one, "and this is Corbyn," pointing to the cute blonde. "Well it's nice to meet all of you," I said awkwardly. "The pleasure is all mine," said Jack following with a wink. And just like before my face turned bright red.
The bus pulled up before I couldn't say anything that would completely embarrass myself. Getting on I sat in the front so I wasn't such an easy target like the ones in the middle. All the boys sat far in the back, which was more conformation that they were popular and they would find out how cringey I was and act like I didn't exist. Which I was used to, but for some reason I really like them especially Jack. I don't normally fall for the populars knowing how they are, but they weren't like the typical popular boy group, or were they?
Walking into school was the definition of a nightmare. The school was three times bigger than my old one, so many tables filled with kids. They were in conversation too focused on each other than the new girl, which I was secretly happy about. "You look a little lost
(Y/n)," said Zach with a warm smile. Right behind him were the rest of the boys laughing about who knows what. "Um yeah, I'm just trying to take it all in, it's a little overwhelming." I said looking at all the boys walk up behind Zach. "Don't worry little bro, I can help her," said Jack. Zach's face went from a smile to a glare. None of the boys must have noticed but me. He actually looked upset that Jack "stole me" from him. I felt flattered. "So cupcake, how bout we take you to the office to get all the things you need," said Jack with an over confident smile. Cupcake? not even 10 minutes on school property and I already have a nickname. This isn't how I thought this move would go at all.
