"Morning." The person in the other bed mumbled.
"Are you Carter or Matt?" I asked squinting my eyes trying to see.
"Carter." He replied sitting up. "And you're Nash's friend Kylie, right?"
"Yep that's me." I half smiled.
"Nash has told us all a lot about you and you seem pretty cool." He said turning on the lamp by his bed.
"Really? He tells you guys stuff about me?" I asked.
"Yeah he usually never stops. You guys seem really close." He said.
"Yeah, we used to be but not so much anymore." I shrugged sitting up.
"Why not?" He asked.
"Well ever since he became famous, he's never really around and we don't talk that much anymore." I sighed tearing up a bit.
"Oh, I'm sorry." He said, "Wanna come get breakfast with me?" He asked getting up.
"Yes I'm starving." I groaned, "Where are we?"
"We're in Illinois so wear a jacket." He smiled.
I slipped on the only hoodie I packed and a pair of boots. I followed Carter to the elevator and out to the car.
"What would you like for breakfast?" He asked.
"Well, I think the obvious choice would be a McDonalds or Denny's." I said looking out the window.
"McDonalds it is." He said.
"What is Matt like?" I asked, "I haven't gotten to meet him yet so."
"Well, he's really funny and outgoing, he'll try to make a joke out of everything and he's just lots of fun." He said.
He was about to say something else but stopped himself. "What are you like?" He asked.
"Me? I'm not that interesting." I shrugged.
"Everyones interesting." He said, "You play any sports?"
"I used to play lacrosse." I said remembering when Nash and I would practice together.
"Whats your favorite food?" He asked.
"I love Chinese takeout." I smiled.
"I have to admit, Chinese is the best kind of food out there." He laughed turning into a McDonalds.
We finally made it back to the hotel and everyone was awake and gathered up in Nash and Cameron's hotel room for breakfast. All the guys were talking and I just sat there and ate.
"Who's this?" Matt asked.
"That's my best friend Kylie." Nash said before I could say anything.
"We're not best friends." I said.
"What?" Nash asked looking at me.
"We're friends but we're not best friends." I shrugged looking up at him.
"Can you guys get out for a minute? Please." Nash said as the boys left the room.
"What do you mean we're bot best friends." Nash asked again.
"You've changed Nash." I said staring at the ground.
"No I haven't." He said sitting next to me.
"Yes you have." I said.
"Everyone else doesn't think so." He said raising his voice a little.
"Everyone doesn't know you like I do." I said wanting to leave. "Read Twitter, people who've never even met you know that you've changed."
"That's not true."
"It is true! I've known you for years and you've known Cameron for maybe one year and you're already buying a house together." I said standing up in front of
him.
"Whenever you have time off, we never hang out. You go off and do something with Cam." I said waiting for him to say something. "Nash, I miss you."
Nash got up and wrapped his arms tightly around me and I immediately broke down.
"I missed you a lot." He mumbled. "Things will change and I'll be a better friend."
