Waking up to the sound of screaming though the baby monitor was normal for me, as a mom of to two kids. Sitting up I rub the sleep out of my eyes, hop out of bed and pull on a robe. My feet stomp as I made my way to the nursery where my son Bobby slept. Stopping outside of the door I reach for the handle but the door opens easily when I push on the actual door. It creeks a little, I flinched when it did because Bobby would wake up at the smallest noise. I listen carefully. Nothing. Not even a sigh. That's strange. Walking in to the room I peek in to the crib where Bobby slept. I gasped then started to whimper. " No, no, no, this can't be happening. Not to my son." I pick him up. Bobby, my youngest son, was dead. He had been slit at the throat. He had died of the blood loss. Falling to my knees, I start to cry with him still in my arms.

"What a shame isn't it Amy, for a boy so young to die." A raspy voice commented from the doorway. Setting Bobby down carefully, stand up quickly and face the thing in the doorway. I could see the features of his body clearly, he was tall, skinny, had a long face that I used to love but I now found annoying, he had hazel eyes were focused and sharp and dark brown hair was oiled down. This was my ex-husband.

"John, what happened? Call 9-1-1! Someone killed Bobby..." that's when I noticed the bloody kitchen knife in his hand.

"I wouldn't think about doing that. They're all dead, as well." He said coolly. The door to my other son's room opened and Cole, the five-year-old, stepped out with his stuffed tiger. He noticed me with blood on my hands and looked confused. Then John took all of his attention because of the knife he had in his hands. His eyes widened and asked.

"Mommy, what is going on?" He held his tiger closer to his chest.

"Cole, please go back in your room and lock the door." He just stood there. John turned around and grinned at him. He came down to a squatting position and look Cole straight in the eyes. When he did his whole eye turned from hazel to black everything. I grabbed the baby powder that was on the changing station. When he stood back up to face me again, I turned his face white with the baby powder making him rub the powder off. I took Coles hand and took off. At least I tried to do so if it weren't for the tiger. Cole dropped it, bent down to grab it and in the process was grabbed by John.

"I'm a demon, Amy. John was working when I found him. I possessed him and took over his thought and memory. He had such anger to you because you got custody of the kids. Now neither of you can have them." He put the knife to Cole's throat.

"Why? Why do you have to do this?" I plead.

"Because I want you to suffer!" As he said that the knife drew across Cole's throat. Cole let out a gargled sound that, I'm guessing , was a scream. He fell down to his knees then to his stomach and lay there as the light left his eyes. I ran back to him and held him.

"No, Cole." I sobbed, then instead of being sad, I became angry. Standing up I held out my hand and sent John flying into the nursery. Then I ran to my room. I don't know why but I did. When I got there I locked the door and called my best friend, Robbin. The phone was just picking up when there was a bang at the door.

"Hello, Amy?"

"Robbin, help there's a demon in my house!" I blurted out the first thing that came to mind

"WHAT? Ok, where are you? Do you have your kids with you?" she sounded panicked.

"My kids are dead! They were killed..." another bang this time it was louder. Then the voice came.

"Amy I know you're in there. Come on out." John said.

"Robbin, what do I do?"

She answered with an authority I had never heard before, " This might sound crazy, but you have to do everything I say, exactly." I nodded. That was stupid. She couldn't see me.

"Got it." There was a sound of a car turning over in the back ground. Suddenly the door burst open. " Robbin, he's in my room now. What do I do." I was in the bathroom.

"Do you have any salt." I opened my cupboard and pulled out some Epsom salts.

"Would Epsom salts work?" I whispered into the phone.

"Yes, that will do just fine. Pour the salt in front of the door. Do not move! Make sure that the line doesn't have a brake in it" I did what she said.

I heard a car pull up just as John walked to the doorway then stopped. He tried again, then again just as he noticed the salt line something hit him in the back of his head. He dropped to the ground, unconscious. I let out the breath that I had been holding, stepping out of the bathroom I gave the short red haired girl a hug.

I sat up in my bed with tears streaming down my face and someone standing in the doorway of my bed room. I grabbed the gun from under my pillow and aimed it at the thing in the door way. It held up his hands and walked in to my room and flipped on the light. Squinting I notice that it's Dean.

"I could have shot you." I place it back under the pillow and Dean retorted.

"But you didn't, did you."

Wiping my face with the back of my hand I ask "Do you need any thing? "

"No, I just heard some one screaming and crying. I thought that..."

"Well you thought wrong, Dean." I can feel the heat in my cheeks. I turn a way so I don't embarrass my self. Trying to distract my self I pick up my phone . There was one unread text message. I pulled it up, the message was from my team leader. It read ' Amy and Chris, there has been a suicide in the town your staying in. I would like for you to check it out.-Zac'. I set down my phone, jump out of bed and walk in to my closet. Dean is startled by the suddenness of my movements. After grabbing  a clean pair of cloths, head in to the bathroom. Dean tries to follow but I stop him. " I need to get dressed. Give me a minute." Closing the door I shower, do my make-up, change and put my hair into a tight bun in less than an hour. I opened the door to have Dean ,all dressed up in a suit, standing there. " How did you know ..."

" I read though your messages." Why was I not surprised? Pushing past him I grabbed the keys that were on the dresser.

" Give me a second to go check on Chris." Walking though the kitchen and to the couch there Chris lay. I grab a pillow that was on the love seat and toss it at his head. When it hit Chris sits bolt up right. His eyes were wide and searching, when they landed on me they glared, then he lay back down .

" What do you want?" He asked in his way.

"I want you to sit up and pay attention." He just lay there with his hand over his eyes. I roll my eyes. "Zac sent me a message, there's been a suicide ." His hand came down and he finally sat up. " but I want you to stay here."

" No, Amy I'm com..." He tried to stand, but fell back in in pain.

" Yea you are. Dean is going to help me with the investigation."  He flipped me off playfully, I gave him a kiss on the forehead. " Love you. I'll be back in a couple of hours."

"What about the asylum?" he questioned.

" I got Robbin on it."  He lay back down on the couch as I headed over to Dean. " You ready?" I tossed  my keys in the air. Dean grabbed it out of the air and walked out the door.  "I'll take that as a yes." I head out the door. When i got out there Dean was already in the car, in the driver seat. My heals make a clicking sound when I  walked down the concrete floor. I opened up the driver side door and shoved Dean in to the passenger side. " Rule one, no one drives my car except for me or Chris."

He put his hands up," Ok, any thing else i should know?"the garage door opened and I backed out.

When I got to the street, I looked over at Dean said " Rule two hold on." I floored the pedal, and we flew down the street.
