By the time lunch rolled around, I was practically glued to my phone. I couldn't stop texting Rae. We were in the middle of getting to know each other a lot more. I looked up a list of questions to ask her so that she could answer them as she did the same to me.

I strided into the cafeteria and took a seat at my usual table. I liked this table because barely anyone even sits here except for a few girls who sit at the opposite end. Jenna plopped down in the chair next to me, almost scaring me half to death. I quickly shut my phone off and stuffed it into my pocket so that she couldn't see what I was doing.

"Oh my god, let me tell you," she said sounding slightly annoyed yet delirious at the same time. I shifted in my seat preparing myself for the story she was about to tell.

"So I didn't finish my english homework last night because I wasn't feeling too well and my teacher got so pissed at me. I know I slack off a lot but I couldn't help the fact that I was sick and unable to write an entire paper on something so pointless," she ranted.

"So what did he do?" I asked engaged in the conversation.

"He gave me fucking detention!" she snapped. "I have soccer after school! I can't go to detention because I didn't finish a damn paper!" She slouched in her seat and crossed her arms.

"I'm sorry, Jen," I said resting my hand on her scrunched up shoulder. "At least you have soccer everyday and I'm more than sure that your coach will understand."

"I'm sure he will too but I know for a fact that my parents won't."

"Welcome to my world," I laughed through my words.

"This fucking sucks," she sulked.

"I know, you'll get used to it," I comforted.

I heard my phone go off and turned on the screen abruptly. I glanced down at the new text message from Rae, reading it thoroughly. The most recent question I asked her was, if you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? She simply responded with, "I would definitely go to an All Time Low or Motionless In White concert."

I smiled at her response. There isn't a second that goes by without talking about her favorite bands. In my peripheral vision, I noticed Jenna eying my phone nosily.

"Who are you texting?" she asked squinting her eyes.

"None of your business," I laughed nervously pulling my phone away.

"Well then, someone is being a little salty," she said jokingly. "Oh come on, why can't you tell me?"

"It's personal," I said hoping that she'll let it go.

"What's so personal about it? I'm your best friend. I'm a little hurt that you can't tell me," she whined with a fake pouty face.

I sat there in silence contemplating whether I should tell her or not. She's not wrong, she is my best friend and I can tell her anything. I guess I'm just a little embarrassed.

"Please!" She pestered.

I continued to sit there eying her hesitantly.

"Please! Please! Please!" she said even louder now shaking my arm with her tight grip practically cutting off my circulation.

"Fine!" I snapped desperate for her to stop.

She stopped shaking my arm and sat back in her chair waiting for me to explain who I was talking to. She rested her chin in her hand and leaned her elbow on the table.

"Her name is Rae," I said quietly looking down at my lap.

"Okay..." she said wanting me to go on. "Who is she?"
