Chapter 1: The Hale house fire and a new Scott.

In the McCall house.-

"Scott, it's getting late, wake up. I don't care if it's weekend but you need to get up" Melissa McCall was knocking her son's door.

The sound of the continuous knocking and the voice of a woman he recognized wake him up. Scott felt dizzy, his eyes hurt and also his head. It took a few minutes to start to recover properly.

"Scott? Are you alright?" asked the woman with a worried voice.

"I'm fine, just a little dizzy" said Scott sitting in his bed.

When she heard the answer of her son, she immediately enters the room and saw her son sat on his bed and both of his hand supporting his head.

"Oh, my baby. Do you feel sick or something" says Melissa with a worried tone, she walked and sit beside her son, and start to touch his head to feel his temperature.

"I'm fine mom. don't worry" said Scott still with his eyes closed. Melissa still worried about his son, take his head and move it to make him see her. Once Scott opened his eyes and saw his mother. He hugs her very tight with tears running down his face. He didn't say anything, he just started to cry out of nowhere.

"Hey, look at me, Scott. Everything is okay. don't worry, I'm here" Melissa start to rub Scott's back with one hand while hugging him tightly with her other hand. She didn't understand what happened, but that didn't matter, the only thing that mattered to her was that her little boy was crying in her arms.

"I love you, mom. I really do" said Scott barely above a whisper. Melissa still was able to listen what he said, and with a mix of a happy and sad smile, she kissed Scott's head.

"I love you too Scott. And I promise you that I'll always be there for you" said Melissa with a soft and tender voice. Listening to his mother words, somehow make him feel a little more relaxed, but that wasn't all because he still remembered the time that he and his stepdad had to bury the woman that is now in front of him.

After a few more minutes in her embrace, Scott releases himself and rub his arm in his eyes to wipe the tears. Then he proceeded to smile to his mother.

"are you okay Scott?" asked the woman with concern.

"now that you are here I'm more than okay" said the boy with a huge smile and with all honesty. Her mother couldn't hide her smile, so she hugs her son one more time, and give him a kiss on the head before standing up.

"get ready, it's time for you to eat something" said the woman with a huge smile. Scott only nods his head and the woman gets out of the room.

Once his mother was outside, he very quickly put his clothes on and runs to the biggest mirror he could find.

"it worked, I'm a kid again" he said with a satisfactory smile, surprised by how young he is now.

"I must be like 10 or 11 years old".

"mm... I liked my beard. I suppose I'll just wait until it grows again" Scott touch his face still impressed by his new look. Suddenly his eyes were wide open when a realization hit him.

"the date, I need to know the date" said Scott running to a calendar. Once he found one, he realizes that he should act fast.

"the hale house fire is today" said with a serious tone and eyes full of resolution. he makes a promise, even if couldn't save them all, he would at least save Cora's and Derek's mother.

"Scott! Come to eat!" yelled the woman from downstairs. Scott turns around, then looked at the calendar again, and then decided to go to eat something and then get prepared to go to the Hale territory.
