When the dinner was over and the Millers had left, I sat with my parents in the sitting room, coffee in hand. "So bella," my father said breaking the comfortable silence, "I overheard your conversation with Andrea," I groaned internally and took a sip of my coffee. "Is there truly no boyfriend?" I let out a sigh and he leant forward in interest placing his coffee on the glass coffee table, "No Padre, there is no boyfriend," he motioned for me to continue, "I simply do not have the time," my mother made a soft noise of disapproval, my father shot him a look before speaking, "I'm sure it's not due to lack of offers?" my mom spoke up sipping her green tea her long legs crossed elegantly in front of her and I knew there was more coming, "I did notice you and Simon were having an intimate conversation at the dinner table" she said raising a questioning eyebrow. I paused before replying, "I just don't have the time or see the point, and there is definitely nothing between Simon and I" they both nodded thoughtfully before my father spoke up, "we just worry about you love, we dont want you to be lonely" we had had this conversation many times and I knew they were waiting for me to bring home a boyfriend for them to meet, however I never saw this coming to fruition. "I'm not lonely, Jade just got back from Italy and I don't need I dont need anyone else" I replied reassuringly.

We spoke for another hour before I decided to call it a night. After saying goodbye to my parents I stepped into the waiting cab, my mind already focussing on the essay I had to write for my Latin class. Pushing my parents conversation to the back of my mind, I wasn't lonely I was constantly busy my parents just wanted me to settle down, although I always considered myself as being settled down. It's not like I like I lived a very crazy and outlandish life. I let out a sigh and gently placed my head on the window and shut my eyes it took about 5 minutes until I fell into a deep sleep.

"Ma'am! We're here, wake up, ma'am..." I jolted awake at the voice of the cab driver. "Oh, wow, sir I'm so sorry" I fumbled my face burning, before quickly getting up, the cab driver turned and smiled "It's all good lady, i'm sorry I had to wake you but that'll just be $70.00". I smiled and handed him a $100.00, "Keep the change, thank-you so much for the ride," he grinned in reply his eyes kind before replying, "Thank-you dare, have a nice night ma'am, get some sleep!" I thanked him and got out of the cab before heading up to my apartment. As I was walked up to my door my thoughts were interrupted by a loud whistle, "Girl! Give me a smile!" yelled an elderly man who was stumbling towards me beer bottle in hand, I shot him my harshest glare instead and he stumbled backwards in response, and I quickly unlocked my door and headed upstairs to my apartment. After undressing and removing my makeup I fell into bed and into a deep sleep.
