Wonwoo sighed for nearly the 20th time that day. He had been living like any other high schooler. Partying, drinking, studying, etc.
But for some reason, he decided to look back on old photos and stumbled upon some photos of him and his ex-boyfriend, Junhui.
Handsome, kind, cheerful, playful, stern, literally everything else Wonwoo loved. Before Jun, Wonwoo played around with partners, but once he met Jun, he did a fucking 180 turn on his life and got his life in order. But since they split up, Wonwoo went right back to how he was.
He missed it.
He missed Jun's morning kisses and his cute grins or his full teeth smiles when Wonwoo got him to laugh so hard that Jun collapsed onto him.Wonwoo held onto the picture of Jun he was looking at. Jun was smiling, full teeth, was nearly about to collapse from laughing too hard, and was holding a coke can in one hand.
"Damn."
Wonwoo muttered, thinking about that night. He couldn't forget it. It was the night before they broke up.They were at a party and snuck into an empty bedroom. Jun talked to Wonwoo about how things would be like in the future if they continued to date. About college, about their parents, about stuff Wonwoo didn't want to talk about, and he made sure Jun knew he didn't want to talk about it.
Wonwoo hasn't talked about Jun for nearly half a year, since they split up,
but that doesn't mean he hasn't thought about him. Jun was all that filled his mind. He looked back on the other photos that captured the year and a half they spent together.Wonwoo's phone lit up with a notification.
Mingyu: you ok dude?
Wonwoo: yeah
Mingyu: you thinking?
Wonwoo: yeah
Mingyu: about him?
Wonwoo: ..yeah
Mingyu: get out sometime. The world can be nice if you let it.
Wonwoo: alright.
Wonwoo put his phone up. Mingyu, his best friend, had been consoling him every other week or so about this break up since it had obviously broken Wonwoo.
Wonwoo only went out for school or to party in the hopes of either finding Jun or getting his mind off of Jun, but it didn't work and Wonwoo stayed in his room every chance he could.
Wonwoo decided to follow Mingyu's advice and picked up a jacket and his phone. He headed outside of his dorm room and walked around. It was raining. Jun likes rain. He says it's nice when it's gentle.
"Fuck."
They had their first kiss when it was raining. Cliche right?
No, they weren't standing in the rain. They were at Wonwoo's place, sitting on the couch, watching a movie and it happened. Why did they break up? Wonwoo couldn't remember. He could only remember that they did break up.
He walked to Jun's favorite cafe, sat at Jun's favorite booth, and ordered Jun's favorite coffee.
10 minutes past by of Wonwoo staring at the coffee and watching the steam rise from it. He remembered how Jun would always make him wait for it to cool.
"For me?"
He looked up.
Wonwoo sighed.
"Hi, Jeonghan."Jeonghan chuckled.
"You don't seem happy to see me.""That's not it."
Wonwoo rested his chin on his hand."Perhaps..."
Jeonghan sat down.
"You were hoping for someone else."Wonwoo had a lump in his throat when he swallowed. He tried to not think of Jun, but everything he did or saw or thought of led back to Jun.
"Hey, don't cry."
Jeonghan pulled a napkin out of the napkin holder and handed it to Wonwoo.Wonwoo grabbed it and held it to his eyes to catch any drops of tears that threatened to fall down.
"What happened?"
Jeonghan asked with a gentleness that told him if he wasn't ready to talk about it, he didn't have to."I don't know."
Wonwoo muttered.
"We split up.""For what reason?"
"I can't remember it was a blur and then next thing I know, Jun's just gone."
The napkin started doing its job in collecting Wonwoo's tears. He hasn't said Jun's name in so long, he had only thought of him. Holy shit this hurts.
Wonwoo did a pretty good job in keeping his crying quiet in the cafe.
"Fuck."
Wonwoo whispered.
"Dammit say something, Jeonghan.""I don't know what to say. I've never seen you this miserable."
Wonwoo made a pitiful chuckle and sniffled. He got up, paid for the coffee, and walked out.
Jeonghan sat there in utter shock. He didn't even realize that nearly 10 minutes passed by. He also didn't realize the little bell ring that signaled that a person has walked in. What he did realize was that someone walked to the booth and asked a simple question.
"Is this for me?"
He looked up.
"I think it's cold by now.""Jun?"
