Yosh, second chapter! So for the people who have actually read the manga and watched the anime, you can see that in the previous chapter I followed the anime. I might have to follow the anime until the part where Naruto meets Kushina. Then I'll be following the manga from then, because the anime does seem to contain a lot more fillers - like flashbacks that could go well in [The Life Game]. I will have to start taking that off the 'Shelf of Hiatus' soon...anyways, read on!

"Are you serious, ne?" you raised an eyebrow at the silverette. "The bell test again, ne?"

He chuckled, amused at your crossed-arm stance, "Yes, I am. But you're not actually going to fight with Naruto and Sakura yet, [Name]-chan~" he teased, poking your blushing face. "I'm afraid I'm going to have to fight you in a one-on-one battle."

"You're just saying that so you can finish reading that pervy book of yours, ne."

"...not true!"

You scoffed and rolled your eyes, "So what do you want me to do while I wait, ne?"

"I'm sure that you're tired from your journey, [Name]. Go meet up with your father and friends, have a rest if you need to."

You sighed, before a smile graced your lips - you weren't going to argue against that, "Alright...ne."

"Ah, [Name]! Come in, come in!"

You smiled, waving at Teuchi with one hand, "Yo. Long time no see, Teuchi-san, ne."

"Welcome back, [Name]!" the brunette female smiled, already knowing what you would order.

"Wow, look at you! I couldn't recognise you for a moment there!"

"Arigatō, Ayame. Hehe, I guess two years can make a huge difference ne, Teuchi-san," a smile of your own twitched at your lips. "One order of [f/f] ra--"

"I know, I know. You may have changed on the outside; but you haven't changed at all on the inside, have you?" Ayame laughed while you slid onto a seat.

"Well no, I guess not, ne," your smile grew.

You 'mm'ed in delight when the brunette placed your order infront of you, grabbing a pair of wooden chopsticks and snapping them apart.

"This is one of the things that I missed from Konohagakure, ne," you mused.

With a cry of 'itadakimasu~', you began to dig in. As you ate, you didn't notice the hesitant and surprised stare that was being fixed on you from outside the stand. It was only when you were three-quarters of a way into your second bowl that you noticed the figure that was seated next to you. Of course, not without his voice's help.
