Chapter Six
They are all now back atWashington. Liz is sitting for her mock SATs. The next month was the real SATs. She’s studying very hard and she is helped by the other three. The exams came and went. Soon the results are known and Liz passed with flying colours. She gets her diploma and graduates summa cum laude.
Having dinner in their favourite restaurant, David asks Liz to dance with him. He then tells her that he’s going to propose to Jessica. Liz too excited, unable to speak, just nods her head in agreement. They dance for a while and then they head back to the table. David goes to Jessica’s, goes on his knee, and takes out a ring. He puts the ring on her finger and asks, “Jessica James Terry Steiner, would you marry me?”
Surprised, but happy, Jessica says “yes”. He stood up, and they hugged and kissed.
They make arrangements for a small wedding.Darienis David’s best man and Liz is Jessica’s maid of honour. Liz and Jessica’s grandparents come for the wedding. The wedding is celebrated among their colleagues and family members. The wedding goes on fine and they leave for their honeymoon. Their grandparents go back toMinneapolisand Liz goes to stay with her best friend Julie.
