Designer skyline in my head.
Abstract and still well read,
But Little King Boggen and Mother Goose had other plans.

Adam watched as the city was built around him. Sometimes he would walk through the construction to see what had been finished and heard people reciting rhymes that would be very familiar to him.

"The structures begin to take their shape,
As I dug by hand.
Sing for it,
This lullaby.
For it finds the missing link,
That completes the unmastered metropolis."

Adam listened closely to make sure they were reciting the rhyme right. He remembered that when he was first originally writing the rhyme, he accidentally said "form" instead of "shape". So instead of the bricks multiplying themselves like they were supposed to, they ended up sticking together like glue and refused to come apart. That wasn't very useful considering he ended up wasting building materials instead of creating them.

To him, it sounded like they were reciting the rhyme a lot better than he ever did, which he supposed was a good thing considering that they were the ones who needed it more. He watched as they recited the rhyme and as the building material that they needed multiplied before them. He was glad that he could be of some type of help in this unknown world.

He continued down the already paven road to get to the small tent that he had set up for himself. He figured that he would actually move into a building once the city was complete so that everyone was able to get a decent shelter before him. He didn't mind being last. He looked around his tent to see if he had gathered all of the components he needed. Even though he didn't mind leaving Earth now, there was still one thing that he was missing. His keyboard. He figured that maybe he could gather up enough stuff to build a makeshift one. It was a silly idea and quite honestly, it was going to be a waste of stardust, but he might as well try.

He brought a small wooden box close to him and dumped everything out of it. He started to piece together bits of wire and plastic to create the inner workings of the keyboard. After he was done with that, he tried hooking them up to small wooden boards that he had found to act like keys. Once he was satisfied with it, he gathered up about a handful of stardust and started to rhyme as he threw it over the thing he had created.

"Sing me to sleep tonight,
And stir the stars around with your sound.
I am floating away,
Lost in a silent ballet.
So turn this into a noisy parade,
And keep on singing."

And just like that, his makeshift keyboard came alive with sound. He tested the keys out to hear the sweet sound that he had missed so much. As soon as he tested out all of the keys to make sure they worked, he played a simple melody. To him, it sounded like absolute magic, but all of the inanimate objects within his tent seemed to also agreed with him. As soon as he played the 5th note on his keyboard, his notebook started to rise into the air with stardust. He didn't notice this until he got to the 8th note and the notebook came flying at his head and hit him.

He quickly got up and turned around to see if he could find whoever it was that threw it at him, but was only able to find his notebook that had stardust slowly fading off of it. He put the keyboard down and picked up his notebook to examine it. He didn't recall ever dropping any stardust on it, so it didn't make sense to him on why there were small bits of it on his notebook. He just shrugged and put it back down so that he could continue to play with his new keyboard.

He once again started to play the melody, but actually noticed this time when his notebook rose up into the air. He just stared at it and continued to play. The longer he played, the more stuff that started to rise up into the air alongside the notebook. He watched with wonder as pens, papers, and other stuff came alive with stardust and rose up into the air. But that all came to a screeching halt when someone decided to enter the tent.

Adam quickly shoved the keyboard under some blankets next to him as everything came falling back down to the ground. He stood up to greet the person who had entered and noticed that it was the same girl from when they first arrived. It was either she didn't notice all of the floating objects that came crashing down, or that she didn't care, cause she didn't seem too astonished by what she had witnessed.

"Boggen has requested to see you," the girl said as soon as he stood up.

"Tell him that I'll be right there."

The girl just nodded and left.

He swiftly started to clean up his tent a little before he had to and greet Boggen. Sure he was a bit unorganized most of the time, but he didn't like everything to be in complete chaos either. He grabbed the keyboard and placed it under a couple of stacks of paper and books. It made sense for him to put it there cause if someone were to come into his tent, which was unlikely, they'd see the keyboard, but only the base so that it looked like a small stand.

He grabbed his notebook and headed out onto the road that would lead him to where Boggen had decided to call his home. But instead of thinking about what Boggen could possibly want him for, he thought back on his keyboard. Was it the thing that was causing everything to fly everywhere? It was a possibility after all since he powered it with stardust. Maybe he turned it into a magic keyboard without knowing.

He soon arrived at his destination only to be greeted by Mother Goose herself. He had never really met her before, so he couldn't possibly imagine what she would want.

"Come in," she said and lead him into the building.

There sat Boggen at a table looking all important, almost like a king before his subjects. Only that he wasn't a king and neither him or Mother Goose were his subjects. Adam slowly went to go sit down in a seat. He thought he'd better sit down, cause if both of these Magicians wanted to see him, it probably wouldn't end well for him.

"We need your help with a project that can help quicken the process with the building of the city," Boggen started. Oh great, Adam thought. More rhymes that I'm being forced to write.

"Yes," Mother Goose said, quickly taking over Boggen's words. "Now that we don't have the Alchemists' rules to deal with, we're able to experiment with whatever we wish. Which is why I'm starting a project to create companions who will build and roam this city alongside us."
