She wasn't lying, Yoongi decides for himself, enjoying the one side of isolation in the pool.
He enjoys the quiet and the slight waves from all the children roughhousing in the pool. He sees Hoseok is pushing the older kids into the pool and then falling into the pool himself. He enjoys Hoseok's being but one of these days Yoongi's going to get an actual heart attack from Hoseok's recklessness.
"Yoongi, do you like people?" A feminine voice questions him, catching his attention immediately. It's Ji-hye.
"Depends on the people." He wasn't lying. He has all sorts of friends but he'd never want to place them all in a room with him in it. It'd be chaos, in Yoongi's opinion.
Ji-hye sits on the ledge, her legs swishing calmly in the water. She being a few feet away from him. "Eomma says that you hate people, that you especially hate us. That's not true, is it?"
He thinks for a moment. "I don't hate you, it's just that they just didn't want to give the effort to not judge me. Trust me, if I was any trouble, I would have never met Hobi." He words it carefully, just in case she decides to repeat it back to her mom. She nods, swishing this way and that.
"That's good. Can I ask you for some advice?" Ji-hye almost whispers with the volume she's using. He shrugs his shoulders, but waves his hands when he sees her hesitate.
"There's this girl in my class. She's awesome. She likes the same things that I like but also completely different things. I kind of... Like her? What do I do with these feelings?" She's almost breathless keeping her voice down and speaking that fast. Yoongi barely comprehends what he hears but goes with it.
"Well, decide if you actually do like her more than platonically. Then be yourself, if she ends up liking you back, great. If she doesn't, then great, more time to know yourself. Just don't let anyone have the power to bring you down."
He cringes when he hears the words he spills, and hopes that he doesn't sound to cheesy when he hears an angel from the heavens.
"Yoongi!" He switches his gaze from Ji-hye to his boyfriend, who is walking on the concrete to him. His quick and light steps made the distance to him.
When he reaches the two, Hoseok gets onto his knees and sits beside the two. "How are you, fine people of our world?" Yoongi rolls his eyes, but a delicate smile is on his lips when Hoseok reached down to give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Ji-hye, is Yoongi treating you right?" It was a teasing question but Ji-hye answered it quickly. She was a bit distant after Yoongi gave her his advice. Nobody else besides Hoseok and Yoongi that she had a crush on her best friend, so she would never put Yoongi in an uneasy situation.
"Good. I'm glad my boyfriend is behaving. If he wasn't, I would have to punish him~" Though his voice is teasingly innocent, Yoongi can't help but to think of all those nights they spent together as reference. He had to stop thinking of it or else it'd be obvious he had a problem.
