As the sun rises above the city of Paris while the frozen forms of Odin and Jacob, with a bird's nest in his mouth, on the balcony. As Anthony comes out, the bird awakens. "Good morning." He said. The bird squeaks its approval. "Will today be the day? Are you ready to fly?" He asked. The bird squeaks its disapproval. "You sure? Good day to try." He said. The bird gulp a bit as he pointed his wing towards the ground below. "Why, if I picked a day to fly, oh, this would be it. The Festival of Fools. It will be fun--the jugglers, and music, and dancing..." Anthony said.

The bird, who had been resting in Ant's hand, has begun to flap its wings. Ant slowly removes his hands until the bird is hovering in place. He chuckles and shows his hands to the bird, who finally realizes that it is flying. It squeaks an approval, then a question, as a flock of birds fly by.

"Go on. Nobody wants to be cooped up here forever." He said as he used his finger to gave the tiny bird a pet on its head. The bird flies off to join the flock. Anthony rested his head on his arms as he watched everyone down there in the town square setting up the festive. As soon as it's gone...and later, Jacob comes to life. Jacob spits out the nest. "Oh, man. I thought he'd never leave. I'll be spittin' feathers for a week." Jacob said.

"Well, that's what you get for sleeping with your mouth open." Odin said. Jacob chuckles sarcastically. "Heh, heh, heh. Go scare a nun." He said. Anthony rested his chin on his arms once again. "Hey, Ant. What's goin' on out there? A fight? A flogging?" Jacob said. "A festival." Odin said. "You mean the Feast of Fools?" Jacob asked as his ears perked up. "Uh-huh." Anthony said.

"All right, all right. Pour the wine and cut the cheese." Jacob said as he makes the farting noises in his armpit. "It is a treat to watch the colorful pageantry of the simple peasant folk." Odin said.

"Boy, nothin' like balcony seats for watching the ol' F.O.F." Jacob said. Anthony was depressed as his tail wasn't wagging very happily. "Yeah, watching." Anthony said as he turns and departs, obviously unhappy. His tail was dragging behind him.

"Hey, look--a mime." Jacob said. He hocks up a phlegm in his throat, and is about to spit, when Odin covers his mouth. Jacob is forced to swallow his prize. They proceed inside to Anthony who was still dragging his tail. Skyla catches up to them. "Hey, hey, what gives?" Jacob said. "Aren't you going to watch the festival with us?" Odin asked. "I don't get it." Jacob said as his ears drooped down. "Perhaps he's sick." Odin said as he put his paw on Jacob's shoulder.

"Impossible. If 20 years of listening to you two hasn't made him sick by now, nothing will." Skyla said as she was running on the railing of the building. "But watching the Festival of Fools has always been the highlight of the year for Anthony." Odin said. "What good is watching the party if you never get to go near it?" Skyla asked. Birds have begun to roost on Skyla. She waves them away. "Get away from me, go on, you bunch of buzzards. He's not made of stone, like us." She said. The trio went inside towards their depressed friend who is at his table with a model of the city and small toys. Skyla goes to Anthony, who is at his table with a model of the city and small toys painted like townspeople. "Ant, what's wrong? You wanna tell ol' Skyla all about it?" She asked as she put her paws on his arm. Anthony had his arms folded on the table with his chin rested on them. The tip of his tail was tapping on the floor.

"I...I just don't feel like watching the festival, that's all." He said. "Well, did you ever think about going there instead?" Skyla asked. "Sure, but I'd never fit in down there. I'm not normal." He said. "Oh, Ant, Ant, Ant." Skyla said as she pats him on his arm. She pauses as the birds have returned to perch on her again...to birds. "Do you mind? I would like to have a moment with the boy if it's all right with you." She growled as she slam her paws on the table. Jacob went up to Ant. "Hey, quit beating around the bell tower. Whadda we gotta do? Paint you a fresco?" He said.
