Ed and I we're falling asleep waiting for the plane to take off. We lost track of time, we stayed up all morning partying. Ed really does know how to have a good time. I got very drunk, but Ed barley even had a sip of anything.
"Even though we're falling out of our seats from exhaustion, you have to admit that was pretty fun." I said leaning on Ed for support.
"Yeah. It was all right. I should do this more often." he said leaning his head back on the seat.
"I'll take you with next time then." I said. I sat up in my seat trying to stay conscious, starting to feel a little less drunk than before. "And the mission wasn't that bad either. More fun than I have when I go alone." I said. It was true. During the mission is always boring. It's the killing and partying that are fun. "Except I would have loved to kill James." I said sloppily slurring my words. I was still holding the grudge.
He rolled his eyes. "He wasn't worth it. When someone is worth the hassle I'll let you go medieval on them. Okay?" he said. I sighed and nodded in agreement. "And you know. James said you weren't human." Ed added in.
"Drop it."
He laughed. "I'm just saying. You're not a vampire. Are you?" I sensed embarrassment off of him. He felt stupid for asking a question like that. I sat up and looked over to him smiling devilishly. I leaned over my seat, putting my lips to his neck kissing him lightly. Then bit him, but not hard enough to draw blood. He pulled away, I pulled back too and looked him dead in the eye with an innocent face.
"There's a lot more to worry about out there than just vampires Ed." I said and went back to my normal position.
He lifted his hand and touched where my teeth had met his skin. "Like what?" he asked.
"Demons. Werewolves. All that we thought was existed, are actually still around. They're just in hiding. That's why we have jobs. To find them either help them or kill them." I said.
"Did you have to bite and kiss me to get that point across?" he asked.
"I'm drunk. I can do whatever I want. Besides, I thought your reaction was funny." I replied smiling.
"Do you normally bite your friends?"
I paused for a second. "I don't have any friends to bite. Or to kiss." I said.
"Great. I'm the first."
"What you don't want to be my friend?" I asked crossing my arms.
"I do, but it's just awkward." he replied, his cheeks turning a little red.
"Aw. Get over it."
I awoke from a horrible nightmare from when my aunt was strangling me with a metal chain. I was shaking, but at least I didn't scream. But I couldn't settle down again. I glanced over to Ed. He was sleeping so sound. Lucky. I sighed and quietly got up from my seat and went to the airplane bathroom. I sat down shaking like a leaf in a tornado. I took a small bottle and a syringe out of my pocket. I took out a lighter and started heating up the white substance that was left in the bottle, liquidizing it. Making sure the needle worked properly, I slowly injected the heroin into my arm, feeling the calming effects immediately. I took a few deep breaths trying to calm myself. I felt warm and secure as I started nodding off. Trying to make myself stay awake, I got up and disposed of the needle. I opened the door and headed back to my seat. I couldn't see very well, but I did manage to get to get back and sat back down, but Ed was awake this time.
"You okay? You don't look too good." he said worried. I closed my eyes.
"Yes. Just trying to make the nightmares go away." I said quietly dozing off once again.
