****ALL THE CHARACTERS ARE FICTITIOUS. ****

Today was one of those days where you want to just go home and fall on your bed without changing and washing up. It was hectic as hell. I was on my way home in a bus. I work as a resident at Renè University Hospital. I was running all day and now my legs were hurting. I was low on my self esteem as I got scolded at the end of my shift from the Professor. All hard work went down the drain in one second. I wanted to give up this profession for one moment.

As I was thinking about today and looking outside the window, I saw a 15 years old girl holding a stick helping her way out the crowd. It was a moment of realization for me. She can't see. She can't see this beautiful world, the night sky, her loved ones and herself even.
The bus started moving again leaving me awestruck.

I can see. I can see this world around me, my parents, my niece and nephew, my friends and above all this beautiful sky.

There came my stop and I got off the bus. I looked up and I smiled for the first time in the whole day.

The night sky was vast and beautiful. I felt warmth creeping in my bones on  this cold night. I smiled again for being able to see this beautiful sky. I promised my self to never give up again. I maybe a little low now but it will never be the same.
I was happy to discover another reason to smile again.
