A New Generation: A New Mystery

        I haven't introduced myself, had I? I'm sorry about that.

        It is probably because it seemed that I only written in this journal since a short while ago but actually it is pretty long for other people. Well, not that you need to understand what I am saying, I'm just relieving my memories.

        My name is 「Hieda no Ajuu」, or also known as The Tenth Savanth. I am currently 8 years old. I came from the Hieda family and known as one of the Children of Miare, where only one exists in a generation.

        Once the only Child of Miare dies, after a few years and a new Child of Miare is reincarnated, along the memories of the past life. The task given to us Children of Miare is to record Gensokyo's history as we grow and compile them into books for the next generations. Each of us has the ability to remember everything we see, and it really helps us a lot in doing our job.

        As my title, The Tenth Savanth, says, I am the tenth reincarnation.

        You may notice that people call me 「Akyu」 instead of 「Ajuu」. Well, you see, 「Akyu」 is the name given to me in my ninth reincarnation. I forgot to tell you that each new generation of the Children of Miare, their lifespan grows shorter. As 「Akyu」, I lived up only to 54 years old before dying and reincarnating.

        Because of my short lifespan, most of the friends I had from my ninth reincarnation still lives today, like the human Reimu Hakurei, or those who are youkai, or became youkai, like Marisa Kirisame. And as you know, youkais have a very very long life span. And they rather call me by the name they used to call me back then, 「Akyu」.

        Not that I mind. This is the first time I had met my old friends still looking for me after dying and reincarnation, so I don't want to ruin the mood. And personally, I kinda like the name 「Akyu」 more then 「Ajuu」.

        I am planning to keep writing on this journal about important events. So, if you are reading this in any way (may it be through teleportation, mental image, dreams, or those things the kappa were talking about implementing to Gensokyo, the Internet, was it?) even though this is locked in my house, please continue. Gensokyo is an amazing place, so you won't be bored, just as I can live here for 10 generations already and still is excited for new events.
