Miles Dei,
the first time I saw you, you know how happy I am
you kicked, you scowled and offered your scarred hands

Happy to have waited
Boy, do I feel so conceited
That first smile you showed us, our heart did some PVC's
Look at you now, all grown up and please finish your ABC's

Happy to have fought for you
Worked for you and would be happy to have killed for you
Although this war in this so called life aint done yet
No promises but certainly no regrets

We had a rough start
had a rough fight
had a rough sight even had a rough drive
but If given a choice, again will gladly drink the bitter wine

An unsung hero to many but maybe not to me
Cant count one to billion thats how many times you saved me
Brought sanity to this world which may have given insanity
Seriously, you always do save me

The day that you entered it taught me how to pray
And asked God for strength and to keep death at bay
to survive the at least through the pain, the love, and everything is OK

Here you are a soldier of God, and named Miles Dei
