"Let's get you out of this chair and into the car, shall we?" Cainan suggests, offering her his hand.

She gives him her hand, and he pulls her up, wrapping his arms around her and holding her firmly and close as he guides her towards the car.

His body heats at the contact and he hopes he's the only one feeling this because it would be unbearable if they are both having an equal reaction from the contact of their bodies. He knows his last thought was crazy as Neriah wouldn't be one to share equal feelings with him and if she even knew about how he felt, she would try to stop him.

"I feel like I'm learning how to walk," Neriah giggles uncontrollably as she tires of the wobbly feeling in her legs every time she puts a little weight on them.

"It's expected the medication drugs you're on are powerful. Believe me when I say you wouldn't have been able to go so far even if you wanted to." He explains as he guides her close to the front seat.

Her legs feel numb and even she has felt it for the past weeks whenever she uses the restroom because, although she gets down fast, she still finds it hard walking on her own. Then the condition deteriorated this past week and now she can barely feel her legs on the bed and makes a walk around her ward on her own.

He takes her hand and puts it around his neck, and together they take the last few steps to the car. "I guess you're right. My legs kind of feel wobbly and it got worse last week," she admits.

Cainan helps her into the car once they get to it and he goes back and brings the wheelchair into the boot of the car before closing it.

"I should call Shawn and inform him where I'm going." She says, pulling out his phone and already dialling the number.

"Why? So he'll know who to hunt down if something goes wrong?" He jokes lightheartedly.

"Yeah maybe." She chuckles a little and makes faces at him.

He pouts adorably and looks at her with an innocent puppy eye look, "I promise I'll bring you back unharmed and in one piece, I'll be a good boy and treat you well, but call him if you really need to."

"Fine," she returns the phone into her small purse. "I won't call him, and I hope that makes you happy."

He grins, "Very happy."

The drive to Victoria island is a thirty-five minutes drive and in the drive-through, Neriah can clear her head of the old picture it'd stored up for a while and take in a new one, of the road and environment. Neriah feels happy to be out, and she looks at Cainan on the opposite side and sees that he looks to be having fun and happy too.

"You're staring," he points out, making her look away from him immediately.

She rubs her face awkwardly. "I was thinking," she mumbles.

"About?" He asks even though his eyes remain fixated on the road.

"This, it feels good to be out after a long time of being in the ward." She says.

"I'm glad you're liking it, I was thinking we could go to Tunde's park and Garden on Victoria island is very close to the beach and we could stay and watch the waves."

"Sounds like a good plan, though," Neriah replies, giving her consent for the location.

"So the garden it is," he says, driving into the park known as Tunde's park and garden. He parks his car, gets down and moves to Neriah's side and opens the door for her.

"Wheelchair?" he asks.

She shakes her head. "No, I'll walk. I always hated using the wheelchair, anyway. Just promise you'll warn me before letting go so I don't fall and ruin this pretty dress?"
