Chapter One, Nuisance

Love is like a rose;
beautiful to look at,
lucky to have,
but if you're not careful
with the thorns,
it will hurt you.

6th August - Friday, 02:12 PM

❝What is the difference between Angels and Demons? Mr. Choi, please answer the question.❞

People in class let out a big sigh once our teacher, Ms. Shin, brought up the subject of what we are going to learn about this month and as her favorite student got asked about the questionーwho is no other than Choi Sangyoo, one annoying ass dude that cannot stop bragging about everything that is going on in his life and absolutely has to answer every damn question in every damn classーI smacked the table in irritation, whereas the others rolled their eyes and threw their arms in the air.

❝Angels appear in human form to demonstrate their empathy and love, but Demons enter human bodies to take on the form of those they are attacking,❞ Sangyoo answered almost immediately and was cockily pushing his thick glasses back up his nose bridge before he cleared his voice, obviously waiting for Ms. Shin to approveーwhich she did the mere second after.

And so, the history class continued with the boring voice of Ms. Shin lecturing everyone about different Angels' and Demons' ranks in heaven and hell, along with annoying voice of Sangyoo that would butt in rather more often than ever expected. To the matter of fact, I'd rather want him to shut the hell up and let other people speak, too. At least once in awhile.

Nevertheless, I ended up falling asleep until the end of the lessonーthank God, for that!ーand looking up at the clock that hung above the blackboard, ticking away second after another, I started to pack down my stuff as there was only two minutes left. Taking the notice of what I was doing, Ms. Shin's eyebrows slowly narrowed and as her expression turned into a frown, she darted her eyes at me and asked,

❝Ms. Park, what do you think you are doing?❞

❝Uh... packing my stuff?❞ I replied in an obvious manner, a tad bit dorkily too, if that's even a word.

❝Well, stop it will you? There is still fourty seconds before class ends. But until then, please pay attention to the lesson.❞

My classmates basically started to giggle and laugh, not because I got scolded for what I did, but rather of what the old lady just stated. There was no point on paying attention now anyway because she just wasted the last minute on scolding me.
Now that I mention itーjust before Ms. Shin could open up her mouth and let more crap out about the lesson, the school bell rung and everyone was practically gone within ten seconds, including me and except from the annoying nerd, Sangyoo, the only one who stayed in his seat.
Hopefully, Ms. Shin won't give me detention next week for being the first person to exit class when she told me to pay attention at the last second. I'd probably kill myself if she does because her detention hours are seriously pain in the ass.

03:30 PM

Unlike some other students that would stay behind at school to hang out with their friends or their 'loved one', I wasn't that socialable sort of a person and headed home immediately. Beside that I would really like to enjoy my Friday evening on catching up with some sleep. This whole week had me worn out because of loads of assignments and unnecessary tests.
