Ever since Olivia and Blake had moved in next door to Sebastian, his entire life seemed to have changed. His favorite part of the day used to be filming and getting to be with his co-stars and friends but now he found his favorite part of his day when he would come home and go play with Blake, the three of them would have dinner together, or go to a movie. It was always a perfect bookend to the morning when he would stop in and get a coffee from where Liv worked and would get to talk with her for a while.
He couldn't deny he was falling for Olivia. The past two months he had known them, he saw what he really wanted in life. He wanted someone to fall in love with, have a family with, and to be a father. Recently he found himself lingering at the coffee shop longer, smiling wider at seeing Liv being such a wonderful mother to Blake, and she seemed to be on his mind constantly.
Sebastian didn't know what had happened to Blake's father but based on the fact that he never was around, he guessed it didn't end to well. Normally he wasn't one to wait around if he liked a woman, but he didn't want to push Olivia, so for now he was content in the spot he was at and would wait until she gave him an indication she felt the same and would let her lead at her pace.
"SEBBY!" A small voice called out as a knock came on the door, pulling him from his thoughts.
"Coming!" He called out, quickly pulling a brown leather jacket over his plaid blue button up shirt and checking his hair one last time before opening the door and seeing Blake staring up at him with a big grin.
Sebastian smiled as he scooped the young boy up in his arms, "There's my best bud! Are you ready for your big theatrical breakout role?"
"Um..." Blake made a face, not knowing what the words meant. "I'm just ready to be the lion in the play."
"Well it is going to be the best preschool play ever and you're going to be fantastic!"
Sebastian praised as he shut his door behind him. "So where's your mommy?""She's still getting dressed," He said, playing with the rings on Sebastian's fingers.
He nodded before carrying him into the next door apartment and setting Blake down on the table and called out, "Hey Liv, are you almost ready?"
"Yeah, I'm coming! One second!" She called out, before a clunk followed by an ouch could be heard, making both of the boys laugh.
Liv then came hurrying out, jumping on one foot while trying to slip her shoe on. No matter how comical the sight, Sebastian couldn't help but take in how beautiful she looked. She was wearing a striped dress that was pleated and loose on the bottom but tight fitting on the top, accentuating her willowy frame. A light grey cardigan and soft wavy hair softened the entire look but he couldn't deny that bright white smile of hers was the most gorgeous of all.
"Liv, you look beautiful," Sebastian told her once she had gotten her shoe on and was gathering up Blake's costume.
His words made her stop and look at him. A pink blush filled her cheeks and her lips curled into an even brighter smile that made her eyes sparkle as she replied, "Thank you Sebastian."
A small swell of pride filled Sebastian with the knowledge that he had made her feel good. He only had a moment to relish in the moment before the three headed out to his car so they could get to the play.
Once Blake was backstage, Liv and Sebastian got their seats and waited for it to start. When Blake came on the stage, Liv smiled brightly feeling so proud of her son and knowing how much work he had put into it. Sebastian took notice and wrapped his muscular arm around Liv's shoulders and gave her a small squeeze. He was going to remove it after, but when she leaned in closer to his side, Seb smiled and left his arm in its comfortable spot around her.
When the play was over, Liv went backstage to help Blake change out of his costume but not before she held him tightly and covered his little face in kisses, making him giggle while she told him how good of a job he did in the play. Once she finished and changed him into his normal clothes, Blake held her hand as they walked to the auditorium where a few parents and kids were filtering out. It took practically no time for Blake to find the dark haired Romanian leaning against a row of seats and bolted toward him.
"Sebby! Did you see me? Did you see me?" Blake squealed as he ran into Sebastian's waiting arms.
"I did!" He beamed at Blake. "I'm so proud of you, you did amazing! And you know what that means?"
"What?" He asked.
"Well think that means the best actor in the play needs ice cream to celebrate!" Sebastian said making the young boy cheer.
When the three went to indulge on the treat, Blake's eyes were opening and closing closely but it wasn't until he finished his ice cream that he curled up on Sebastian's lap and fell asleep. At this point, Liv and Seb decided to head home so Sebastian cradled Blake gently against his chest as not to wake him up and they walked to Liv's apartment where Sebastian tucked him into his bed and closed the door behind him.
"Thanks for coming to Blake's play, it meant a lot to him to have his Sebby there," Liv giggled as she was walking him to the door.
"I wouldn't have missed it for anything," He honestly replied while leaning against the doorframe.
"I know, and that's what is so sweet," She told him.
"Well I'm happy to, I love that kid," Sebastian chuckled.
The two shared a warm hug before he turned to head to his apartment but he stopped when he felt a warm hand on his arm. Sebastian turned back around to look at Liv and she smiled before leaning up and pressing a soft kiss to his stubbled cheek.
"You're wonderful," Was her sweet response before she turned and walked back into her apartment, leaving Sebastian with a smile on his lips and a twinkle in his eye.
