Lance was in his room. He seemed to be spending more and more time there. It wasn't like any of the others care. He sighed, picking up the picture on his desk. He smiled at it. 15 year old Lance stood next to a red haired woman with the greenest eyes anyone had ever seen. In their arms was a small girl with caramel skin, unruly brown hair, and blue green eyes. He smiled and traced the frame. Stay strong. I'm coming. He silently tried to send the thought to her. Allura's voice came over the castle comms, summoning them to training. He sighed again and ran his hand through his own unruly brown hair. He gently hid the picture again and walked to the training deck. He slapped on a smile outside the door.

"Hey guys." I said. Allura and Shiro glared at me. Hunk smiled back with a little wave, Pidge has her nose in an electronic, and Keith looked entirely uninterested.

"Be on time Lance!" Allura said angrily.

"We are doing the mind melds today." Shiro informed me. I froze, my smile stuck. No...not mind melds. They can't find out about her! If anyone found out about her...

"Can I sit this one out?" I asked with a chuckle, "I think we have bonded already!" I spread my arms and grinned cheekily. Everyone except Coran and Hunk groaned.

"No Lance" Allura snapped, "You have to do it too." She turned away from me.

"The helmet has been set to show your most important memories." Coran said happily. I came even closer to having a panic attack.

"Hey...You OK buddy?" Hunk whispered to me.

"I'm.....fine." I gave him a strained smiles. They couldn't find out!!!! I was about ready to bolt from the room. Shiro went first. His were memories of his mom before he left and of his time in the Garrison. Pidge went next. She showed her time growing up with Matt. Next was Hunk. He showed all the time with his moms and with Pidge and Lance at the Garrison. Keith showed faint memories of his father and mother and being adopted by Shiro's family. He also showed the joy of being the simulators. It was finally my turn. I stood, prepping to run.

"Sorry guys, but I don't really want to do this." I said and bolted. Keith caught me quickly as Shiro blocked my exit. They both dragged me over and shoved the helmet on my head. I fell asleep
