•you were friends with farkle in kindergarten bc you were nice to him when he was bullied •then you met riley and maya at the halloween party •you and maya instantly clicked when you stared at riley drowning in apples in the water •“is she gonna lift her head?” •“i told her to lift her head” •you stared at maya and farkle while they observed riley •you got bored so you walked up to riley pulled her head out and said, •“hi i’m Y/N” •“hi i’m riley!!” •“okay you can go back to drowning now!” •farkle laughed while maya just kept staring at you •she didn’t know it back then, but she always thought that you were pretty
•fast forward to a couple of years later •during the transition from middle school to highschool, you and maya got closer well, closer than you already were anyways •that was also the time where she started questioning her sexuality •bc sure she’s supposed to like guys but what if she doesn’t? •she comes out to you while you guys were hanging out •you were just casually sitting on the rooftop of her apartment, talking about riley and her crush on lucas •“-don’t worry maya, you’ll find a prince someday!!” •“what if i want a princess instead?” •being a little shock but supporting her anyways •“well then thats okay too!!” •and she gives you this look somewhere between awed and grateful •“thanks Y/L/N” •when you come out to her, it was more casual •you just came over her house and flopped on the couch •“i think i’m bisexual” •“cool, i’m gay” •everyone was super supportive when you came out together •but then farkle said something which changed everything •“soo, you two are dating?” •and maya, she already knew about her own feelings •but you haven’t even realized that you were in love with her •and maya just freezes next to you while you had a mini flashback about all the times you had butterflies around her you spent the whole night thinking about it •in the end, you called farkle for advice “FARKLE I THINK IM IN LOVE WITH MAYA” •but what you didn’t know was that you dialed maya instead •“well good news, sunshine, i’m in love with you too”
•dating maya was.. interesting at first it was super awkward bc you didn’t know what to do •but after you both slowed down and went on an actual date, it became easier •she’s not really big on pda, unless she gets jealous •just hand holding and kisses on the temple or cheek •she always holds your books even though you insist that she doesn’t have to •“-really maya, you don’t have to” “but i want to” •she’s such a supportive girlfriend •like you want a dog? she’ll be with you to get one •you want to join the cheersquad? you bet she’s gonna be your personal cheerleader joining the football team? she’ll be at all your games •you’re the only one who she lets hear her singing •she hums a lot in class, and you can always hear it especially since you sit behind her •and when she gets nervous, though she won’t say, you’ll hold her hand from behind, under the tables •cory always notices but he just smiles and turns the blind eye •she’s honestly just so happy to find someone who loves her •she gets insecure sometimes so you have to reassure her •“will you stay?” •“as long as you want me to..” •“forever then” •“forever it is.”
