It was until nightfall that Gaara was asleep. No one bothered us. I continued to sing and hold him the entire time. I stopped singing when I felt him move. I started to stir before his eyes met mine. Thats when i noticed the panic in his eyes. Before i could say anything i inturrupted him. "Gaara, its okay. You did sleep but im here. As long as im here with you nothing will hurt you. He will not take over while im here Gaara, i promise," after my words he was still shaking a little but i hold him closer to me and did to him what ive been doing, singing to him. Soothing him. Soon he started to calm down and he got up from his bed. The gourd was to the side of the room and he strapped it on his back agian.
He looked at me agian and said a quick thank you before walking up to me again. What he did next was what really shocked me. He hugged me but i then started to feel something wet on my shoulders. He was crying, i held him closer, rubbing his back. The tears stopped and i backed away so he could face me.
"Gaara. I want you to know this. I care for you, deeply. I hope you understand that. But i have to do something right now and i dont know when ill be back. Im not abandoning you, i just have somewhere to go. But when i leave ill promise you, Ill visit you at least once a month kay. Im leaving tonight but ill come back the day of the last part of the Chunnin exams to visit. That will be one month from now. I leave you Gaara, please beleive me when i say, i dont want to hurt you," when i was finished talking Gaara collapsed to the floor. I caught him before he could hit it. He was violently shaking and sobbing.
"You hate me!! Liar! You never loved me! If you did you wouldnt be leaving me!," i brought him back close to me despite all his attempts to pry me off. Once again i started to rub his back and hum to him.
"Gaara, my sweet Gaara. Can i tell you something.?Can i ask you something?," he slowly nodded his head and i continued. "I love you Gaara, like a mother would for her child. I want to be your mother Gaara. I might not replace your real one, but at least you have one. Allow me in Gaara. Allow yourself to be my child. Can you love me like that?" after i said that he stiffened but backed away to talk to me.
"Promise me youll visit every month! Promise, that no matter what i do youll love me! Promise me, mother!" after he said those words a small smile was on my lips. "I promise my son," with those words we hugged eachother and we slowly got up. "I have to leave now, but as i said i will be back on that day.I love you, my son. Now and forever. Stay safe." "I love you to, mom," after those words we walked out of the room. Him in front of me to show me where to go. When i felt the presence of Temari and Kankuro, i stopped.
"If i come back and my son is hurt. I will hold you two responsible got that!" i didnt give them time to respodn before i walked over to where Gaara was gave him a hug and kiss on his forhead. I teleported out of there and into Sarutobi's office. I heard a slight gasp come from his mouth before he realized who it was.
"Kiya-sama. What an earth are you doing here." "Im leaving Sarutobi. I need to find someone i lost some years ago. Im leaving now. Do not tell anyone that im leaving. They will find out themselves. If they ask why do not give them a reason nor tell them to look for me. I cant tel you where im going as i do not know either. I will stay with the Leaf though. I will not betray what I hold dear to me. Some day i might be back though. Actually dont tell anyone but i will visit on the day of the last part of the chunnin exams. I might visit every now and then. When i do visit on that day and from then on. Do not tell anyone who i am. I wish for no one to know." after that long speech he let out a low sigh.
"As you wish. You will still be counted as part of the leaf. And i will tell all villages to leave you alone. Be safe and remember us." "Thank you Sarutobi," with those words i teleported to my apartment. I gatherd everything i would need. Clothes, weapons, foos etc and put them in seperate scrolls. I desined these scrolls to hold anything i wanted and would only open with my blood.
After i finished getting everything i teleported one more time right outside the leaf village. I took one last glance at the village that i have never seen and started to walk no where hoping to find Kakuzu, my one love.
