I reached out to grab his wrist. He jerked his arm out of my reach, as if I was venomous. “Don’t. Touch. Me.” he said every word like each one was a sentence of its own. Poison was dripping from his tone. I flinched at his hostility as tears slowly filled the brim of my eyes. He has never spoken to me in such a way. “Just get away from me and never come back.” he looked me in the eyes with such rage, “Now!” he yelled, pointing at the door. I froze, not understanding what I did to deserve him treating me like this. “But Jack-” I didn’t have the time to finish my sentence before being yanked by my wrist towards the door. “Ow. Jack, you’re hurting me! Let go.” I struggled with his death grip. “JACK! LET GO!” I yelled louder this time. He let go, only when I was caught off guard and stumbled on my own two feet. “Get out of my face and go fuck yourself.” he said bitterly and slammed the door. “What the hell did I do?” I whispered uselessly.

“What did you do?” I heard faintly, followed by a light chuckle as my hearing gradually adjusted to reality. My eyes slowly opened to find a familiar pair of mesmerizing brown eyes staring back at me with amusement. That’s when I realized he was lying on top of me. I guess sleep consumed me as him and Jack J. went to hangout in the backyard. “Dreaming about me?” he asked with a smirk on his face. My eyes grew wide, relieved that it was only just a dream. I threw my arms around his neck and pulled him close into a bear hug, realizing he was shirtless and only wearing swimming trunks. His wet hair tickled my forehead as he started planting small kisses along my jaw. “It wasn't a dream about you. It was more like a nightmare.” I mumbled. He stopped and looked me in the eyes, “What’d I do?” “I don’t really wanna talk about it.” I replied, looking away. "Please.." he whispered as he found my soft spot. "I- I-" I stumbled on my words, those soft lips against my skin distracting me from my thoughts. He noticed and stopped, looking into my eyes with softness and love. I took a deep breath and held him close to me, as if he was going to slip out of my grasp. "I did something really bad and you told me to go fuck myself. But the thing is, I can't remember what I did that made you hate me" my voice dwindling down to a whisper. He looked into my eyes as if he's searching for something. "Jack... Say somethi-" I was cut off by his lips against mine. What? He pulled back slightly, "I love you" "I love you too" I responded, slightly surprised. We shared a sweet kiss once more. "Don't worry about that dream, I'm here now and I trust you that you wouldn't do anything." He said, looking into my eyes like he's searching for something once again. Could it be reassurance? "Jack, I wouldn't. We've been together for a year. We have been through so much for me to just throw it away. Everytime I tell you I love you, I really do mean it. I've never loved any guy as much as you... Well except my dad. But you get what I mean." He chuckled lightly and gave me a quick peck. He then got off the bed, as I sat up. It was then I knew I made a bad move, he grabbed me by my legs and threw me over his shoulder. "Jack Finnegan Gilinsky! Put me down!" I yelled slapping his lower back and butt. "No can do babe. By the way, love you too." And he lightly slapped me back in the ass. Thanks babe, I'm feeling the love.
