Chapter 1
Tris POV:
"Beatrice! Wake up now! You're gonna be late for school!"
I don't give a shit about school.
I moan and get up, feeling dizzy.
I check my clock, reading 7:45.
"Crap, gotta be there in 15 minutes!"
I put on an aqua colored shirt on, stained with a cyan blue. Then, I put on my black shorts on, along with my aqua and orange Converse shoes. I brush my hair, making it a French braid, then placing a black and gold "hippie headband" on.
I race downstairs, getting a banana and my backpack, while I spit out a question.
"Where's Caleb?"
My mom sighs. "Hes outside, waiting for someone to come."
"Mom, I can walk by myself, I'm almost 16! Relax."
"But Bea-"
"Bye mom!"
"Bye sweetie. Watch it out there! It's not safe!"

"If anyone, Beatrice, anyone, bother you, tell me." Caleb glares at me.
I giggle.
"I'm serious Beatrice."
"Fine, mom." I smirk.
He smiles and hugs me.
"Bye Bea."
"Bye Caleb."
"Bye Caleb!"
I jump out of my skin and I turn around.
"Chrissy!"
"Trissy!"
Christina hugs me and I gladly hug her back.
"Let's go inside. We have to get our schedules!"

Christina and I walk toward the main office.
A guy walks toward Christina.
"Hi Christina." The guy blushes.
"Hi Will. How ya doing?" Christina replies.
"I'm fine, thanks."
"This is my friend, Tris Prior. Tris, meet Will."
I shake his hand and I smile.
"Hi Will, nice to meet you."
"Same to you."
Christina smiles and gazes at Will.
We stand there, doing absolutely nothing.
Will breaks the silence.
"Well, I just got my schedule, so I better get going."
Christina grins. "Bye Will!"
"Bye."
Christina and I continue walking.
"Someone is in love!" I smirk.
She blushes. "Shut up."

We arrive at the office.
"What the?"
"What the what? Gosh Tris, complete your sentences!"
I chuckle.
"I just didn't expect a lot of people in here."
The line was from the secretary's desk all the way around the room.
Christina begins her blabbering.
"Well, what did you do over the summer? I went to France for a week and saw the Eiffel Tower and after that, I went to England for 2 weeks to have a cup of tea at the castle and then I went to Italy for 2 weeks and saw the Tower of Pizza and-"
"Chrissy, you know, it's not the Tower of Pizza, it's the Tower of Pisa. Didn't you know?"
"O-of course! I-i mean duh! Yeah, um, whatever."
I giggled and she chimed in.
But then, I had to stop, because that was when I saw him.
