Chapter 28: Family

The small nightmares I call my children were running and sprinting around the house at 5:00am. Groaning I sat up from the bed, tired and my hair in a messy ponytail.
"I am going to kill them..." I hissed through gritted teeth. I hit Karmas leg to wake him and due to him being a not-so-deep-sleeper, he woke up.
"You're helping me." I sighed as I swung my legs out from under the blanket. I grabbed one of Karmas hoodies and threw it on, it was an oversized one so it went down to the middle of my thigh. As soon as I opened the door I heard Akane squealing, as she passed me I scooped her up.
"Karma...get the boys. I'm going to deal with Akane." I heard the red head groan and slide out of the bed onto the floor.
"I swear to god karma!" Raising my voice, he shot out of the room and grabbed the smaller boys, taking them to their room. I did the same with Akane. I sat the four year old  back into her bed and tucked her in.
"Sleep for another few hours, I need my sleep too. You three are just as insane as your dad." I kissed her forehead and she nodded, turning onto her side to sleep.

I walked out of her room and could hear laughing from the boys room. I groaned again and facepalmed. I pushed open the door and stared at the three males. Daichi and Ryō were sat on the top bunk of their bed, leaning over the edge staring at their red haired father, who was sat against the wall on the floor. I walked over to the twins and plucked Ryō from the top bunk.
"Daichi. Bed. Now." I ordered, watching him collapse into the covers. Setting the younger twin into the bottom bunk, I kicked Karma before walking out. Instead of going back to bed, I went down the stairs and grabbed my phone, calling someone for something to do for the day. The phone rang a few times before they answered.
"Hello?"
"Morning." I greeted in a tired voice.
"What do you need?" They sighed. I laughed quietly and replied.
"Something for the little...things to do today. Can we come visit?" A moment of silence came as I awaited an answer.
"Of course! Gakushuu and Momo should be coming over today as well."
"Really? Because of college I haven't seen him since high school! We've talked but haven't actually met up! This'll be great. Thanks mom I'll see you at about eleven. Love you."
"Not a problem, sweetie. Love you too." I ended the call and slumped into the couch as footsteps came down the stairs.
"Where we going?" Karmas voice sounded around the room. I tipped my head over the back of the couch and smiled.
"In a word? Home." He smiled knowing what I meant and came over and sat next to me. We fell asleep not long after.

I woke up to the sound of the television. I looked at the floor and saw the three children, picking up my phone and checking the time.
10:23am.
"Fuck!" I shouted and shot up from the couch, picking up the little girl and heading up the stairs.
"You three need to get ready, we're going out do the day." I told the boys as they jumped up and ran passed me up the stairs. I took my daughter up to her room and she chose her clothes. She picked out a cute dungaree style dress, so I picked out a white t-shirt to go underneath it. She slipped out of her pyjamas and into the T-shirt before I helped her get the denim on. She kissed my cheek and I lifted her and set her on my hip, walking back down stairs, setting her in front of the TV and headed back upstairs to get myself ready. I looked back at my phone and saw the time. 10:30am. I passed Karma, who happened to be slipping into a pair of jeans. Opening the wardrobe I grabbed the closest piece of clothing to me and pulled it over my head. Turned out I had chosen a baby blue sweater dress. Pretty cute. I grabbed a pair of white converse from beside the bed and tied them on. Once done, I went back down stairs, re-tying my hair into a neater ponytail. Karma came down not long after, Daichi and Ryō in front of him. He grabbed the keys and we'll all went to the car.

After a 20 minute drive we arrived at my old family home.
Climbing out of the car, I opened the back door and watched as two 6 year old boys sprint out towards the house. I heard Karma chuckle and watched as he lifted Akane out of the car.
"Oh! Seeing as we can't turn back now, I should probably mention that Gakushuu is gonna be here too." I heard him groan and we headed towards the front door. To stop the twins wandering off, I grabbed their shirt collars and nodded for Karma to knock on the door. After a couple moments I heard the sound of someone running in heels to the door. I giggled. The door was swung open and we were greeted by my mother and father. I pushed the two boys forwards slightly and they ran into their grandmothers arms, hugging her tightly. I smiled and greeted my father from the door and saw a head of ginger hair pop from around a corner.
"I hear a twin..." He blurted our. His eyes landed on me and instantly lit up, I smiled and jumped over my mother. I tackled Gakushuu in a hug and lay on the floor laughing and hugging him. Everyone looked at us weirdly, even the children. We sat up and released each other. Karma set Akane onto the floor and let her wander over to me. I held my arms out to her and she ran into them. I hugged her tightly before introducing her to Gakushuu.
"Akane, this is your uncle Gakushuu." I shivered.
"Jesus. That's sentence I never thought I'd say." He chuckled and Akane hugged him, soon after the two boys did the same. Karma came over to me and pulled me up from the floor. Karma and Shuu made eye contact and both smiled.
"What the fuck just happened?" And then realisation hit me and I hit behind my mother.
"Something's possesses them!! They don't hate each other anymore! What the fuck has happened?!" I made a cross with my fingers and held it in front of me.
"The power of Christ compels you!!" I shouted as I jumped onto my moms back.
"Tell me again, why am I marrying you?" Karma asked, confused but with a smirk on his face. My mom walked into the sitting room, me still on her back, as I called a reply back to my fiancè.
"I don't know sweetie. You're the one who proposed." I heard him sigh.
"Touchè." I was dropped onto a couch and a small child jumped onto me.
"Small ginger child!" I cheered as she giggled at my outburst.
"I still don't see why you're marrying her...willingly." Lilly and I stared at the two men walking into the room, her father and my partner. We looked at each other and facepalmed.
"Karma get yo ass here now." I demanded, he rolled his eyes and leant on the back of the couch behind me.
"Lilly, this is Karma. Karma, Lilly." Karma waved to the 4 year old and she smiled.
"Hi!" She cheered, I giggled as Karma smiled.
A red, (h/c) and pink haired trio came into the room and Lilly stared at them.
"Your cousins." I whispered to her and she climbed off of me and hugged Akane. Straight away, the red head hugged back.

We spent the rest of the day bonding, arguing, laughing and planning. Planning for a wedding that would, hopefully be happening soon.
