CHAPTER 3

I woke up at 5:00 in the morning to my alarm blaring out the annoying sound of an old cell phone. I crawled out of bed and almost fell on the floor until I caught myself using the small table next to my bed.

"Whoops, I just saved myself there."

I wanted to crawl back into bed, but it was to warm and I was already awake. I decided to go and take shower and get ready for my part time job so that I don't have to depend on auditions to be able to live. I worked at the coffee shop down the street and it opened up really early for businessmen who always passed by on the way to and from work.

After my shower, I changed into a nice white sundress that went nicely with my black hair and brown eyes. I walked into the small kitchen and got out a granola bar from one of the cupboards for my breakfast. Then I grabbed my purse, put on black flats, and went on my way to work.

I was a nice day and it wasn't too hot. I was really crowded so I had to push through so many people just to reach the coffee shop. Even if it was early in the morning, there are still so many people.

"Excuse me, thank you, excuse me, thank you."

I had to say that so many times during my walk.

Once I got to work, the coffee shop was already bustling with people yelling their orders to the cashiers to get through the noises. It was too crowded to go through the front door, and so I went to the back. Once it got to the back, I slipped my hand into my purse, looking around inside of it for the shop's key. After a minute or so, I finally found the key inside the messy purse. I took it out and shoved it into the keyhole. I twisted the key and the door unlocked. I quickly got inside and closed the door behind me.

Once I was inside, I made my way to the break room/ changing room so that I could change into my uniform that consisted of a small pencil skirt, and a red vest over a white colored blouse. It wasn't very pretty, but at least it wasn't ugly on me. When I reached the room through the hallway that was connected to the back door, I opened it to see that Jayli, my co-worker and best friend, was already there and was just finishing changing.

"Hey," I greeted her.

"Hey, I haven't seen you all weekend," she said.

"Sorry, auditions."

"I see."

"Did you get any of them?"

"OMG yes! I think I actually got the Aquafina one!"

"Really?! OMG! Good for you!"

"However, there was this one guy that irritated me and ruined a little of my happy day."

"Who?"

I proceeded and told her about my whole day yesterday with that arrogant guy. When I first mentioned the guy, she got excited about the news of a cute guy. Then, when she calmed down and heard the whole story, she thought that he wasn't all that bad.

"Well, you obviously don't know the real him. If you met him yourself, you'd understand my pain," I told her.
