CHAPTER TWO

I finally reached my small apartment after walking in the rain for hours. As I reached for my keys and started to unlock my door, I noticed a note at the bottom of my door. I picked it up and started to open the pink flowered envelope.

"Dear Emma,

I have been watching you for sometime and I think that's its time for your efforts to be rewarded. I admire you and I will help you. Trust me, your luck will change once you keep on working hard.

Best wishes,

Admirer

I cannot believe someone has been watching over me. Well, something good has come out of this. I got my energy back! Yeah! "I feel alive!!" I yelled at the world. Then, I went inside, had a delicious dinner of cup noodles and had a nice bubble bath. Today went better than expect and I went to bed at 10:00 pm after I found more auditions and wrote them down. I found 2 auditions in total. One for Aquafina, and one for Lived, another makeup company.

In the morning I headed for the 8:00 AM Aquafina audition, walking 1 mile in heels, which was painful. After that walk, my feet were red and sore, so I took off my heels and walked barefoot into the Aquafina building.

Inside the building, were people dressed neatly, and a lot of people. One sight in particular caught my eye. There was a group of girls looking dressed up and showing way too much skin, screaming, flirting, and giggling around one guy. I walked a few more steps toward the group, curious as to who could attract so many girls like that.

Once I could look over all the desperate girls, I saw who the big deal was. The guy was pretty tall, about six foot something, which made me wonder how I couldn't see him earlier over a crowd of girls. He had raven black hair, and green eyes. Also, he looked really fit, which showed through the clothes he was wearing. He had tan skin, and his face had a nice jaw, which, along with his other features, made him look like a celebrity girls want to marry.

All of a sudden, while I was looking him over, I caught his eye. He gave me a look over, and smirked at me like he was all great and holy. That made me fume with anger and I found myself stomp away from the group.

"Who the heck does the guy think he is huh? Even if he looks like a king, he shouldn't look down on others like that! I hate those kind of people," I said to myself as I walked away.

I went to the front desk and a really nice lady greeted me.

"Hello miss, how may I help you?" she asked kindly.

"Umm I'm here for the Aquafina audition."

"Oh of course! It is on the 4th floor in room 47 and the elevator is right over there."

"Thank you very much."

"You're welcome."

"She's a lot nicer than that guy," I muttered to myself as I walked away. I then got into the really fancy-looking elevator and went to the 4th floor. As I was in the elevator, I put my high heels back on. As I got off the elevator, I noticed that the hallways were equally as fancy as the elevator and 1st floor. It was noisy, with many people running around in the hallways with paper in their hands, which was typical for an office building. I tried to look for room 47, but had no luck. Suddenly, from behind me I heard someone speak.

"Well well well, if it isn't the angry girl from the 1st floor," a voice said. I quickly turned around and saw that it was the conceited guy that spoke.

"What did you say?" I snapped at him.

" Did you come all the way up here to see me again? You must be a big fan of mine to follow me up here," he said.
