A Dragon's Heart

Chapter 10

Jacks POV

I'm just there, standing and crying over Marks shoulder. I'm glad to be with him. I'm glad to have fallen in love with a person who understands my true form.

I pull away to look at him, when I see his smooth hazel eyes, I can't help but smile at them. I speak softly "Can we go inside now? Please?"

"Of course we can Jack" I hear his smooth deep voice say.

I feel him pick me up and bring me inside. He lays me down on the couch and I feel him cuddle up beside me. At this point, I'm just smiling like a crazy psychopath, I'm so happy to be with him.

"So Jack..... Do you mind if I ask you some questions about what happened?" I shake my head as if to tell him I don't mind.

I'm kind of scared of what he's going to ask me. "So Jack, when did you find out about your 'dragon form'?"

I start to speak softly to him "When I was very little.... It was an accident at school, I was bullied at school and one day, someone ran up to me and punched me right in the face. I was about to fall from the ricochet when my tail popped out and stopped my fall. Everyone run away when they saw my tail and yelled 'RUN AWAY, THE DRAGON BOY IS GOING TO MURDER US ALL!' and that's how I found out..." It was silent for a few moments until Mark asked the next question.

"Did you ever found out how or why you have that form?" I shake my head to it, not even bothering to try to put a story behind it. But I did tell a short story after I shaked my head, "But that day when my tail came out and I had to go home early, my mom yelled at me and left me. She yelled at me saying 'HOW COULD YOU TRICK ME INTO THINKING THAT YOU WERE NORMAL? YOU ARE NOT MY SON ANYMORE, GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!' And I was left alone and by myself for the rest of my life after that day."

Mark didn't say anything after that but after a while, he turned on the TV and I fell asleep on his chest.

Marks POV

I suddenly heard some soft snoring coming from Jack and I smiled. I softly whisper, "I'll protect you no matter what I have to do, because I love you more than anything else in the world...." then I slowly started to drift asleep.
