Chapter 7

I was still really upset about the whole adoption thing, even though it was a few days later. The boys and Maggie kept trying to cheer me up, but I still wasnt my bright and happy usual self. My body was there, but I wasnt.

I woke up to the sun streeming through my window. I rubbed my sleepy eyes and walked out into the living room. Maggie was sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee.

" Goodmorning sunshine!"

" Hello." I say, sitting down next to her. I sit there and silently watch the television, having no interest in having a conversation. Maggie looks over at me and sees the irritated look in my eyes.

" Youre still upset? Leah, its ben days!"

" How can I not be upset? Ive ben betrayed! By my own parents!"

" Thats it!" she yells, pulling out her phone and making a phone call. I hear someone pick up on the other end.

" Its time for Operation Cheese."

Operation Cheese? What the heck?

" Yepp. Get to your battle stations." Battle stations?

She hangs up and gives me the evil eye.

" Go and get dressed. We've got some buisness to take care of."

I slightly chuckle and sluggishly go to my bedroom to throw on some clothes. When I feel like Im sort of exceptable looking, I go with Maggie to go wherever she was taking me.

" Where are we going?" I whine. It was way to early in the morning for this. I mean, 8 in the morning? Really?

" Its a secret." she whisper yells. I smile and pull out my phone. Of course, I have 10 new messages, all from my mother. I feel pain shoot through my chest, the smile wipes right off my face. I read the first one, not bothering to look at the rest.

Honey, Im so sorry about what happened. I didnt know it would hurt you so much. Im so sorry. As soon as you get this call me. We need to talk

I feel my ears get hot and words start flying through my head like a tornado. I have so many things I want to say. But all I can say is,

Busy.

Maggie pulls over and I become confused.

"What are you doing?" I ask

" Put this on!" she says, handing me a blindfold. Deciding not to ask any questions, I pull it on. Maggie continues to drive until about 10 mins later.

" Can I take this off now?" I ask.

" Nope. Follow me!" She says, grabbing my hand. She drags me into a building, and I hear loud music playing. I also hear beeping machines and screaming kids. Where the firetruck was I? (sorry, I dont curse. haha :) )

Im startled when suddenly someones lips touch mine. They are gentle like Louis', and I just have to take my blindfold off.

Louis is standing in front of me, along with the other boys.

We were all in the middle of Chuckie Cheese.

" Surprise!" Louis whispers. I become excited for some reason. I always loved chuckie cheese!

" Yay!" I squeal, having a sudden mood change. They all start laughing and Liam walks over and hands me a handful of tokens.

" Go crazy." he says. He has a smile on his face, but his eyes dont match his smile. I try to find the emotion in his eyes, but I cant seem to. Im just to freaking distracted with all the tokens in my hand, waiting to be used!
