Prologue

Dear Mum,

1 night 1 shot and 1 mistake.

That's all it took. That one night, that one shot and the one of many mistakes was all it took to loose what seemed like everything.

My home, and family.

Dad and my sister died. They got in a car crash because my sister decided it would be cool to sneak out for a night. Dad got mad and went to get her. At the house party she was at, Edelle, brought out a shot for dad to help him "chillax". I thinks it's obvious that Edelle was wasted out of her mind.

Anyway, she tripped and the vodka got in dads eye. He was fuming. He then grabbed her and forced her to get into the car so they could leave. He had a hard time driving because his eye was burning and could barley see out of it.

Edelle got mad that they were leaving so on there way home, she grabbed the wheel and....

It's just my older brother and I now. Since you left us when I was 6 months. I don't remember you at all.

Remember my brother Tyde? He's 25. He's tall strong and scares off every guy who's name falls out of my mouth. He fell into a state of depression after the accident and I was his only hope.

We are doing better now I guess. Tyde got a job and I did too but it doesn't pay as much. I work when I can but it doesn't always work. Granny helped us where she could which is a lot.

We are doing the best we can and so far, it's keeping us alive.

Max is the main character and she is a girl. Her full name is Maxelle which will be explained later. She's 16 but pay attention to the dates at the start of each chapter. Just saying.
