Swift POV
Rod came back with his arm around the cardinal.
"Congrats, you two," I told them.
Brody looked at me. "Your turn."
"What do you mean," I asked. I blushed because I knew very well what they meant.

I went into my room and pulled out the chocolates, the card, and my comb. I brushed my feathers out, then put the comb back. I took a deep breath and went to find Penny. as soon as I saw her, I felt nervous.
"Um, Penny, can we talk...?"
"Sure, Swift. What's up?"
"Well, I've been meaning to tell you for a while, but... well..."
"Yea..."
"This is a lot harder than I thought it would be... but, I love you, Penny. Will you be my Valentine? And, if you don't hate me by the end of it, can you consider, well, being more than friends?"
Penny gasped. "Like... like boyfriend and girlfriend, and we can hold hands, and go to the beach together, and stare at the sunset... I'd love to!"
We hugged one another tightly.
"Let's go tell the others," I said. "I heard Peak and Rod hit it off."
Penny laughed. "Let's go."
Together, we walked off, my arm draped over her shoulders.
It's everything I could ever ask for.
