Have you ever felt trapped? I certainly have. I do right now. I'm stuck in a situation that I can't get out of. Do I take the pills, or not? The pills could be our key to figuring out Dr. Claire's plan. The pills could have a tracker in them, make me very sick, or even kill me, but they could also be the key to everything.

Cody says I shouldn't take the pills. I think so too, but there's a world of people out there. People who could be hurt if we don't try to stop this doctor. Young, foolish kids, who want to be special. They could use those powers for anything. Oh, no, I think I can see world war III on the horizon.

Honestly, Dr. Claire may be a scientist and all, but giving a bunch of kids powers, is a really bad idea. We are all really stupid. Really, really stupid.

Would you give a chicken the ability to kill people by staring at them? No, you wouldn't! Because then, random people would be killed left and right. You'd have no control, even if you tried your hardest. You see what I'm getting at?

The pills are in a plastic bag on my bathroom counter. After a long time of explaining to my mom the situation, she is okay with me keeping them there. After all, a lot of strange things have happened. Tomorrow, I will give Cody the pills. He want me to take the pills, and he's worried I won't listen to him.

I walk down the hallway to my sisters room. I knock on the door. Aubrey opens it, and I grit my teeth. I have to tell her some very bad news.

"Aubrey, can I talk to you about Brian?" "Sure," Aubrey says. Her face is lit up with excitement. "So many good things have been happening lately. I really like him! We went out to a fancy dinner and he played for the whole thing! Most of the guys I've went out with have made me pay for at least half."

"Aubrey, I'm sorry." Aubrey looks confused. Her smile is fading a little. "He didn't cheat on me, did he?" "No," I say. "It's a little worse than that." Aubrey's eyes widen. She's in shock.

"I read him. He's using you to get to me, because of my abilities. He's working with Matt for this weird steroid scientist person. I went there to spy, and he was there. Everything makes sense."

"First of all," Aubrey's voice is rising by the second. "It's not safe for you to go spying with your little friends! Second of all, Bryan is completely loyal to me! You don't have to make everything about you!"

Aubrey slams the door but then opens it a crack. She stops and looks at me. "I think I'm in love." She slams the door in my face.

I had expected so many things, but not that. I can't believe she won't listen to me! I know the things I've heard and witnessed. I guess she'll just have to get her heart broken in the end.

I feel less pity now. If she's not willing to listen, she doesn't deserve the truth. I stomp back over to my room, immaturely making my stomps loud enough that Aubrey can hear them. I hear a loud sigh come from her room. I roll my eyes.

I go on my computer and crank the volume up. My old One Direction music is playing. I know that Aubrey hates boy band music, but loves the boys. I don't know how one person can be so boy crazy!

"Shut your stupid music off!" I peek out the door to see Aubrey standing across the hall with her arms crossed.

"You won't listen to me, so I'll force you to!" I scream over the music. Robbie and Jack are poking their heads out their window, trying to figure out what's going on. I didn't realize that I was playing music that loud.

"I'm sorry, but your going to get your heartbroken by either Bryan or I. He's working to catch and perform experiments on people like me. You're going to have to choose a side, and I hope that you will choose your sister's side over some new boyfriend's." Aubrey gives me a cool look.

"Bryan is better than you. He's smart, funny, and humble. He doesn't make everything about himself. He is an amazing person, one you never will be. Just because you have that stupid power, doesn't enlighten you to accuse anyone of everything."

That makes me very mad. I can read minds! Of course I can accuse people! I'm one of the only ones who can! Most people won't be able to figure out the whole story, but I can. I can do anything.

I walk back over to my room, and turn the music down. I grab my phone, and call Cody. He picks up right away, but I only say one thing before hanging up.

"I'm going to end whatever's going on between Aubrey and Brian." Cody continues to text me a bunch of exclamation points and asks me what happened, but I don't reply. Not yet, anyway.

I feel a sudden urge to be rebellious. I take the pills, and a glass of water. I swallow them. I realize how foolish I am. What I've done.
