I'm so sorry that I haven't beed able to update in a long time. I've been working on my other story, The Story Of Tonight, most of you probably know what I'm talking about (it's a John Laurens x reader if you don't know) so I haven't had time to work on this one as much. Well, if ya haven't read that one yet, you're very welcome to. ON TO THE STORY...
Theo couldn't believe her eyes, shiny marble floors, sparkling chandeliers, and books, oh so many books. Aaron Burr saw his daughters desire to be in the library, so he took her in. "Now, Theo, you stay in here while I do some work, okay?" Burr said to his daughter. "Okay!" Theo ran over to her dad and gave him a hug.
The room was filled entirely from top to bottom with books. Fantasy, history, fiction, non-fiction books lined every corner. "Wow." Theo breathed to no one in particular. One book caught her eye. Romeo and Juliet, it read. She carefully grabbed the book off its shelf. On the other side of the shelf, Theo could see movement. "Who's there?" She asked, and the figure jumped back, as if it was startled. Theo poked her head to the other side of the shelf and saw a young boy, about her age. "Who are you?" Theo asked.
"I'm Philip Hamilton." The boy replied, still on the ground. Theo took her head out from between the books and ran over to the isle were Philip was. When she reached him, she helped him up. "Sorry for startling you. I'm Theodosia Burr, by the way, but you can call me Theo." She stuck her hand out, and Philip shook it. "It's nice to meet you Theo." Philip smiled. "So," Theo rocked back and fourth on her feet, "Do you like books?"
"I love books!" Philip said. "Really, so do I!" Theo exclaimed. (Like the little innocent childs they are) "I was just about to read this book," Theo said, holding out Romeo and Juliet, "but then you came out of nowhere and now here we are." Philip examined the book. "That sounds like a happy book!" He finally said. (*cough cough cough cough*)
"What kind of books do you like?" Theo asked.
"Poetry." Philip replied. Theo giggled "Is poetry even a book?"
"Well, I think it is. I'm a poet, so thats why I like it." Philip said. "I've always liked poets." Theo said innocently. "Oh! I can write a poem for you!" Philip exclaimed excitedly. Theo clasped her hands together, delighted.
"I have another idea," Philip said "Do you wanna come to my birthday party?"
"That would be wonderful! I love birthdays!" Theo replied.
This one was short and not as good as the others, sorry, but the place where I act is letting us get tips from Broadway actress Lora Lee Gayer, so that's where I'm going.
Peace, love, and turtles!!!!!!
