Your eyebrows furrow when you get a bunch of texts all of a sudden from Joji. He was all the way in Washington how would he get to Brooklyn that fast? Is he in Brooklyn already?

You unlock your phone and start typing.

You: george there's no way
You: you're getting me off this couch
You: soz boo

You finally stand up off of the couch you've been lounging on for an hour in your shower towel with your hair wrapped up in a smaller one. You stretch your arms and lock your phone, throwing it on the couch where there was a small blotch of water from your damp towels.

Okay, one hour. You planned out to do your makeup in 30 minutes, letting your hair air dry, then the other 30 for your outfit. Sounds about alright.

Once you started the music and settled down at your vanity to do your makeup, you wondered what your boyfriend had planned. This was pretty weird to you.

Joji has been pretty busy lately, you only saw him a few days at a time between every week or two. He had work to do at the studio and he had a few concerts around the country, so it was tough.

You asked yourself when the last time you guys went on a date was, only to realize just how long it's been. The two of you had a few arguments here and there whenever he was home. Mainly stuff about how he's either only working or sleeping around you, or how he was always too tired to talk.

You were worried sick about his health too, he sometimes forgot about a few medications he needed to take because some of the ones he does remember to take, make him groggy.

Deciding to rid yourself of these thoughts, you placed your focus more on the makeup look you were working on.

After 25 minutes of blending and dancing in your underwear, you were finally ready and felt accomplished with your work. You took a final look at yourself and winked at your reflection, feeling dumb for doing it the second you did it.
