We were on the road again with only about thirty minutes left. Road trips were extremely boring when you don't know the person next to you.

Liam had seemed to calm down from earlier. I needed a distraction because the only thing I wanted to do was cry.

I just need to talk to him, how hard could it be? It's just sharing a conversation with another person I do it all the time with Ava.

"How long has your mom lived in Nashville?" I ask awkwardly. I absolutely suck at making conversation. Liam seemed surprised by my question and lifted an eyebrow while giving me a short glance.

"About ten years now." He responded.

Okay so we are getting somewhere.

"Oh why did she move there?" Come on Raven you can do better than this.

"Because she got remarried to a man in Nashville."

This harder than I thought. He's not even trying to continue this conversation.

I stopped with the questions which only resulted in a period of long minutes of awkward silence.

"Do you have any siblings?" I was shocked by the question. I didn't expect him to ask me anything.

"No, my parents didn't want another kid." I didn't expect myself to even answer.

I decided that I need to ease him a bit I can tell he is nervous to bring me to his family. I'm just as nervous.

"Why did those people not know who you were?" He asked bluntly. I have no idea how to answer that without lying. I didn't want to lie to him anymore than I have but I can't answer that.

I didn't respond, which caused a scoff from Liam.

"Just as I thought." He let out a sarcastic laugh.

"That's not fair, that's a personal question and I don't even know you." I defended.

"That man had a bat Ophelia. Who knows what else could have happened back there. He didn't know you, that wasn't you're family. You lied to me. I'm thinking a million things right now and not one of them leads up to me getting out of this alive. I have no idea who you are and yet I'm doing all of this sketchy stuff for you. That's whats not fair."

I felt horrible. I almost want to tell him the truth. The full truth. He's right I probably would have left me a long time ago if I was him.

"I'm a-adopted." I stuttered. I mean it's not far from the truth. Right? He looked at me and raised an eyebrow because I'm openly sharing information with him.

"And I'm looking for my biological parents, so I have these addresses that could be possible homes to where they are." I can't believe I'm even sharing this much information with him. Honestly he's my only option here and if he doesn't start trusting me soon then I'm really going to be left on the curb.

"So....that trailer we just went to...that wasn't them?" He questioned cautiously.

"I sure hope not." I replied. If those were them, then I really am a lost cause.

"How many addresses do you have?" This through me off. Out of all things he was curious to how many address I had?

"W-what?"

"How many addresses do you have to go to?" He repeated.

"Ten." He let out a smooth whistle.

"Dang, and you're being serious? You're that curious to who you're biological parents are?" He interrogated.
