As the morning light shone into Katerina's window, awaking her from her slumber, she had decided to go visit Mary. She had learned about somebody trying to take away the future Queen's virtue.
As she approached her friend's bed chambers, she noticed that she noticed there was no sound coming from the room, "Is Mary here?" She asked the guards, that stood outside the room. "I'm afraid not, your Highness. But she will be in the throne room, there's a meeting going on there"
"Okay, thank you Smithers" The brunette said, causing the guard to nod curtly before the Princess made her way to the Throne room, where stood the King, Queen, Bash, Francis, Mary, the Queen's young son Prince Charles and servants and guards. "Princess Katerina" The King noticed, "Your late."
"I know, Your Majesty. I'm truly sorry, I guess I just lost track of time" The brunette apologised, curtsying to the King and Queen.
"Well, I suppose it's alright. You're here now" The King said, giving the Princess an unreadable look, one he gave to his mistress, Diane and Lady Kenna.
Katerina nodded, before standing besides Mary, giving her a small smile which was quickly returned.
There were a group of foreigners gathered there too, and the King and Queen were deciding who Prince Charles will soon be betrothed to.
"Let's agree it's a brilliant match. Madeleine's French, so there's no question of her family's loyalty... Very wealthy." Queen Catherine said, liking the idea. "But not royal, so they're hungry for power." The King said, disagreeing.
"They'll pay for it." The Queen assured, the King's face read a more convinced look, "It's only right to accept the support of one's loyal subjects."
Queen Catherine faced her son, who stood in front of the two Royals, "And she has a giraffe." Charles beamed up at his mother as she carried on speaking, "Well, Madeleine's widely traveled. She's come from far away... by ship."
Prince Charles smiled, "Do I get a giraffe, too?" Catherine nodded, "The moment she's your bride."
The King stepped towards his blonde haired son, "Francis, to show our respect, I want you to accompany your little brother to the landing."
Charles looked over to his half-brother, "Can Bash come as well?" He asked but Queen Catherine rolled her eyes in annoyance "Charlie...You know that Bash isn't really your brother. He's just your father's son. His presence is disrespectful."
Katerina felt anger rise through her as the Queen said that. She glanced over at Bash who gave her a faint smile. She returned it but gave a salty look to the Queen.
