Madelyn
School ended quicker than I would of imagined it to of. Callie and I walked towards her SUV before getting into the passenger's seat. Her car was a huge white, range rover that could fit up to 7 people inside it.
"I don't understand why you need such a huge car if you're the only one that drives it around." I stated.
Callie lived by herself with her very rich lawyer mother. They only lived 10 houses down from the warehouse which was convenient as well.
"Because then I can fit all my shopping inside."
"But that's what a trunk is there for."
"The trunk is never enough for a girl like me."
We laughed together before everything went silent. Soft music could be heard from the radio. I leaned my face on the window and looked at scenery. I couldn't help but think of him.
I've liked him ever since he helped me up from the puddle of mudd I slipped in when I was 7. After that, it was like torture watching him look at other girls and even dating them. It broke my heart because I knew I'd never be that girl. Now he's acting like this with me, giving me false hope. It sucks knowing I'm stuck seeing him fall in love with another girl. Could life get any worse?
The vehicle came to a halt when we reached my house or more specifically, the warehouse. I lived with a gang ever since my mothers death and I wouldn't want to change a thing. They've been there for me through thick and thin.
I thanked Callie for the ride and made my way towards the mansion. Before the doorman could open the door for me, Kevin Porter opened the door ajar; the action startling both the doorman and I.
"Madelyn." he said, panting heavily. "Mr.Lopez has requested a meeting with you as soon as possible."
I furrowed my eyebrows, Mr. Lopez has never requested to meet with me throughout the all the years I've been living with them. What could possibly be so urgent that he demands a meeting?
I slowly nodded my head and wearily followed Kevin to his office. This was nerve-wracking, Kevin never looks this nervous. We stood in front of the huge, mahogany door that led to Mr.Lopez's office.
Kevin gave me a smile before patting my back and walking away. That just made me more nervous.
I slowly walked inside and was greeted by Mr.Lopez. Mr.Lopez looked nothing like Noah; you couldn't tell they were related. Except for their dark, shaggy hair.
"Madelyn, please do sit." He said in a deep tone, walking from his chair to the side of the table as he welcomed me into the room. "You might have questions about why you're here, but I can assure you that this was all planned."
So I sat down in the comfortable, leather chair - my suspicion growing more and more.
"You've heard about Mr. Jones' gang from Seattle and how we're planning to take over?"
I quickly nodded my head.
"Well, they are having a game night at their Casino, more specifically, poker. That's when we're planning to attack." He added, which I was a bit uninterested about.
"Alright then, but what's my part in all of this?" I snapped boredly.
"That's where you come in. You're going to try seduce Mr. Jones into signing our little contract." He smirked, causing my blood to boil.
"Are you out of your mind?" I said as I jumped out of my seat and slapped my hands on the desk. "I am not about to whore myself to a 50 year old, grown ass man!" I did feel a little empowered, snapping at him.
"Calm down, Madelyn. You won't have sex with him! Plus, you have backup. I hired Noah as your security guard and Mike and Thomas will be in the car, listening from the microphone that will be implanted in your jacket."
I scoffed, I knew that Noah would never agree to this. The feeling of knowing that I won't have to do anything out of my comfort zone did calm me down, I guess. Mr. Lopez has never sent me on a mission, why now?
"You will do as I say, Madelyn. I can easily kill you," He added ruthlessly. How dare he!
I threw everything off his desk and stormed out the room, slamming the door behind me. I felt scared, knowing I might get killed either way.

I was in the special training room, punching the punching bag, dressed in a sports bra and skimpy shorts when Noah furiously entered the room. I felt flustered that he's seeing me like this but honestly that is the least of my worries; Noah looks like he could blow up the building.
He paced around the room before starting to rant,
"You will not go! Do you hear me? I don't know what I'd fucking do if you got hurt. Madelyn, please tell me you didn't agree. This is insane. I can't afford to lose you, not now not ever. You're my rock. Just..please, don't."
By the last sentence he was cupping my face, making me look into his storming, hazel eyes. His touch sent shivers down my spine.
"He threatened to kill me." I whispered, looking down at the floor. He brang my face back up and kissed my cheek.
"I'll protect you, from him and from the world."
