Concept: world of dukes, duchesses, princesses, and such. England Regency era(Victorian era), but the catch is people by the age of 20 are to look for a husband or wife depending on their IQ. The rich people would host balls in their areas where all the people must come and they are given a number that tells their spot in the IQ system which has people matched with their IQ score. Rich people will normally choose people who are both attractive and have a high IQ. At the end of each ball after the rich person chooses their betrothed, the last five people at the end of the line are executed depending on how many balls they've been too. You can only go to three balls before you are executed. They execute people because they want only smart children to be born. Normally there is a lot of biases and prejudice, people with IQ scores below 100 are made fun of and normally poor, the rich even if their IQ are low if they bribe the Terman Officials(the people who are from Termis Corps, the place were the IQ system was formed) then they can have their IQ score changed and made higher. The balls are hosted twice a year in June and the other in December. Even if the person doesn't want to be married they have no choice, also it's gender equal so a woman can be the one searching for a husband and not the other way around. story follows a nervous boy who had been chosen on his final turn, he was worried because he wasn't exactly the most good looking boy even tho he has a high IQ. A girl finally picks him, but he soon finds out that she actually isn't as smart as she plays out to be, she doesn't even know how to read. She can't read because she has dyslexia, even though she'S not good with reading shes good at the other subjects especially kinesthetic things like drawing, piano, violin, sports, and building stuff. he eventually has to teach her such things but its found out and her whole family including the boy is put under treason and scourged for. they end of finding them and killing them, but the boy says a last influential line about the corruption of society and how they should be able to use and teach those whom are. STory is futuristic Victorian Era. They have strict laws against people with mental disorders such as autism, down syndrome, and physical disabilities. They would usually have the child killed once they're born if it's been noted. William was supposed to have a little sister but she had autism so she was killed. William holds slight resentment for the government they have but understands that the world is how it works and they're doing it to create smart successors. The government ruler is Queen Victoria XIV with her daughter, Princess Alice the 14th whose in charge of the education department (considered the most dangerous).

YOUNG WILLIAM CLARKSON II WAS NERVOUS, his Mother would say that was nothing short of the usual but you see he had a very good reason too; for today was the Courting Ceremony, where he amongst hundreds of other young men and women would be chosen to court the rich. He had been nervously anticipating the day for the last few months but he didn't think it would have arrived so quickly.

The carriage jolted to a stop snapping the young man's head out of the clouds. His mother next to him, holding his cold hand, squeezing it encouragingly. He looked in her direction, greeted by a warm smile that wrinkled by her chestnut brown eyes. He nodded with the weakest smile before kissing his dear Mother's hand and exited the carriage. He was greeted with the cool winds of December, almost losing his hat that was threatening to fall off his well-groomed brown hair. William had to take every opportunity to make sure he was chosen this time, unfortunately, this would be the last ball he would be allowed to attend before he was, as his mother would politely say, 'disposed of.
