Why are we habitually diurnal?
I prefer to be nocturnal
Like an owl on a moonlit night
Reading novels by lamplight
Weaving my emotions into poetry
Incorporating my ideas into short stories
Free verse and rather butchered rhyme schemes
Insomnia and quickly forgotten dreams
A million plots by no other eyes seen
My computer open, my senses still keen
And a refusal to bow down to the constraints of sleep
