chap 4 gone.
He still hasn't come back.
It's been two months and he still hasn't come back.
"Why does he hate me so much?" I asked Scott one day when we were eating lunch together.
He looked up at me, a look of pure confusion on his face.
"What?" He tried to say with his mouth full making bits of sandwich fly over the couch.
I laughed at him before taking another bite of my sandwich.
"He doesn't hate you Hill he's just shocked to see you. He's tried so hard to get over you because he thought he could never see you again. He just doesn't want to hurt you."
"How could he hurt me? And why did he have to come here? Why could he not see me again?"
He sighed, "I can't tell you anymore then he can. Lets just say its a family thing. We can't get out of it its in our blood. We were born this way. If he could have it any other way, he would. He hates it."
I was starting to get mad now. He was trying to tell me but he wasn't telling me. It was just frustrating. I could tell he wanted to but he couldn't because he was scared of something, or someone. But i just couldn't figure out who.
Every night both the boys were out to who knows where. A couple times i even stayed up to see when they came home, and try to figure out what they had been doing.
They would come home around 4 in the morning when the sun was starting to rise. They were always muddy. When they came home they would have different cloths on then when they left, and they never had a shirt on. It would always be just a ripped pair of jeans shorts.
But the weirdest part about the hole thing was that when they came home, there eyes weren't golden anymore but instead a bright yellow. So yellow and so bright i could see them in the complete darkness of the house.
They glowed.
I looked at Scott now, "why are both of your eyes golden? And Jackson's too, they were bluey green when he left...." i said the last part as an after thought.
"Uhm....uh...it....uh.... ZANE! ZANE!"
"Why are you calling Zane?"
"Uh... because... ZANE!"
"What the bloody hell are you yelling at me for? I was coming!"
"Uh... Hilly wants to know why are eyes are gold..." he said quietly and Zane's expression became serious instantaneously.
"I really don't understand why this is such a big deal. Its just a freaking question."
"Ok, this has gone on for long enough, she's going to find out eventually." Scott said to Zane completely ignoring my commentary on the situation.
"But its against our law. We could be killed, along with her." Zane replied still ignoring me.
"What if we tell her but don't tell her. Let her figure it out on her own."
"That would still be telling her you twit."
"Tell me what?" I asked.
"Hey Chris told you to stop calling me a twit!"
"So Chris isn't here is he?"
"Who's chris?" I said.
"Oh shut up Chris." They said at the same time.
"Seriously who's Chris and there's no one else here." I tried again.
"We have to tell her something, or she's going to go insane worrying about Jack."
