The next morning, Haru went to the field. As usual, Tenma, Shinsuke and Aoi were the first ones there. They greeted her with so energetic and Haru greeted them back. Not long after, the other players finally started to show up.
When Shindou appeared, he was approached by Sangoku, a few surprised looks thrown his way. He couldn't really blame them though. After all, only yesterday everyone seemed certain that he would quit.
Shindou wanted to focus at the morning practice, but he couldn't. His mind kept drifting to the Fifth Sector's order Tsurugi told him.
When Haru was practicing, she saw Shindou was in a worried expression. She wondered of what's happened to him and then a flashback appeared on her.
"If you want to do that, better search a better hidden place than here." He said as he turned to them and then went away.
Haru choked after remembered the last time. The day she was with Tsurugi and suddenly Shindou appeared, it was totally misunderstanding in what has Shindou seen. Totally misunderstanding and it made Haru more cursing of herself and looked at Tsurugi with a death glare.
"Haru, could you pass it back?" Tenma asked made Haru snapped out from her though. Haru passed the ball to Tenma and rushly continued the practice. Without she knows, someone was observing her and it was Shindou.
Shindou looked at Haru who wasn't far from him. He could see that Haru seemed to have been practicing shooting with Sangoku in the goal. She passed the ball back to the brunette and turned to the goal again.
Shindou's thoughts went over to what he saw yesterday that the time she had received so many injuries, but they all seemed to have been healed. He got a closer look at her as Haru tried her hissatsu. Shindou noticed that her eyes were still a little bit swollen, but barely noticeable. A worried plus concerned experience made him growing to get curious and paid attention on her, but he couldn't put his finger on it.
Soon, everyone went to the clubroom, waiting for their coach. Soon, the coach arrived, walking through the door without his usual smile. "Our next opponent for the Holy Road has been decided," he said, making his way to the front and facing everyone. "It's Tengawara Jr. High."
"Those guys are known for playing dirty," Amagi commented.
"More like they use a lot of rough plays," Hamano said.
Hayami shifted in his seat. "They're already strong, so that just makes them ridiculously scary."
The screen lit up, showing Tengawara's main formation and the players. "Tengawara uses a solid defense," Endou said. "Whether it comes to shaking them up from the sides-"
Tenma and Shinsuke brightened up for some reason.
"-or using long passes to break from the center, Shindou your judgement as the captain will be the key to winning this match."
Shindou's reaction was not what Haru expected. His eyes widened and he turned to Tsurugi of all people. Haru noticed Tsurugi smirked, making Haru flinch of him.
"Kantoku, weren't you notified of the Fifth Sector's orders?" Shindou asked.
That was probably the worst thing he could've said. In Haru's opinion at least. Nonetheless, the team's reactions were quite...interesting, for a lack of better words.
Kurama, who hadn't seem to be paying much attention before, sat up straight. "They gave an order for the first match?"
"What's the score?" Sangoku asked. Seeing that the coach wouldn't answer, he turned to Shindou.
