this one was pretty obvious. if you know me well enough, you'd know that i despise this woman.
now before i get to them, i wanna go through the fact that melanie martinez was problematic even before the rape allegations.
this is mainly due to the fact that her lyrics are ableist as hell. crammed with slurs like ps*cho, cr*zy and others (and cr*zy is ableist when used to describe a mentally ill person).
her entire "character" that is crybaby, is honestly just an excuse to glamorize mental illnesses, and other things. but let's take a look at all the lovely shit melanie's written
from "run" (unreleased) (was originally called "schizo")
from "training wheels" (use of ableist slurs, degrading kink)
from "mad hatter" (everywhere you look in this song there's an ableist lyric jesus)
and it's not just ableism either
from "dollhouse" (suggests a dysfunctional family[dad cheating, brother doing drugs])
from "a million men" (unreleased) (about human/sex trafficking)
from "tag, you're it" (about kidnapping)
the thing about all of these songs are that melanie hasn't experienced any of the incidents in the lyrics, nor does she have the mental illnesses that she slaps onto her "character" so i don't feel like she has a right to write about them.
and especially not if she's gonna romanticize them and use slurs to describe them.
finally there's the recent incident that i think most people know about.
in the 4th of december last year, one of melanie's friends, timothy heller, came out on twitter about having been raped by melanie martinez.
but i'll go into that in another part bc this is getting p damn long.
see y'all

i feel like a lot of these parts are just gonna be me believing that celebs are pedophiles but idk
