Things escalate

Simon's POV: After I left to go to homeroom I bumped into Bram, he was super friendly about it and apologetic. He picked up all my stuff and asked me how my life was going, what a strange question though... I don't think I've ever met someone unironically ask how my life was going, I replied with saying my life was going good and proceeded to walk to homeroom, Bram followed. I almost forgot we had the same homeroom. He continued to ask me awkward questions like what my relationship was like with Cal, Was I being bullied, and who I hung out with besides Abby, Leah, Cal, Nick, Garret, and him. It was really awkward and the conversation felt one sided. We get to homeroom as soon as the bell rings and I sit in my seat. Nothing of interest really happened, nothing of interest really ever happens in homeroom, I just thought about how cute Cal looked when he made the heart sign with his hands, I wish I could have taken a picture, he was so adorable.

I wait until Homeroom ends and start making my way to my first class, but Bram bumps into me again, I wonder why he suddenly has such a interest in me, I mean we don't really talk and he is sort of a jock so its awkward he is speaking to me.

I make it to first period and I'm lucky enough to have Cal in it, We don't sit next to each other according to the seating chart but we don't really care and sit together anyway. The entire class consists of us doing that gay hand holding thing were we only lock pinkies and us making hearts with our hands, Its pretty cute, his hand is slightly larger than mine so the heart always looks weird, but I like the weirdness of the heart, it almost reminds me of the randomness that is Cal.

In the middle of class Cal will ask me these weird ass questions like what my favorite toast is, and what it takes to have the PERFECT toast, my answer is obviously crunchy toast because why else would you make bread into toast if its not crunchy, but Cal is more complex... He specifically likes toast that's slightly crunchy on the outside with a warm soft interior that has no burn marks. We also had a debate on what juice is the best. I'm not going to get to into detail on that because for no reason whatsoever the conversation lasted about two hours, which was really not necessary... because orange juice is the best, obviously. I mean like, every other juice lacks compared to it.

When we were done arguing about juice we had to go to our other classes which weren't that memorable because Cal wasn't in them so I didn't really pay much attention.

Then the highlight of my day came, Lunch. Cal and I left campus during lunch by pretending we were seniors, it was alot more simple than i thought it would be, I thought they might ask for school ID or something but they didnt, they just let us out. We went to eat at the waffle house and made out alot in my car. It was amazinggggg, Cal and i also had a really deep conversation about his past relationships, Apparently Cal had past boyfriends!!! He said they werent very serious and they didnt do much but still!! I cant believe he hasnt told me about this! It made me a little sad i wasnt his first love but he assured me that he loves me and just made out the rest of lunch. When we got back it was time for play practice so Cal and I walked there together while holding hand the whole time, his hand is always so warm and soft, i love it. We make it to play practice and i see his friends dog eyeing us from across the room, it pisses me off that they are being so mean to someone so presious. Cal seems really sad about it so i go over to his friends and confront them.

Simon: Hey whats your guys problem? Why are you guys ignoring Cal?

Taylor: Why do you care?

Emely: yea, its really not your business.

Simon: actually it is, I wont let you guys be complete assholes to my boyfriend!

Taylor: He was our friend before he was your boyfriend.

Simon: then why are you abandoning him when he needs you the most?

Taylor: do you know how much it hurt to learn that he didn't trust us enough with his secret, I've known him for years and never has he mentioned him being gay
