Dipper rushed into the building as fast as he could.

"Gideon get me that case on the murder!" He yelled taking his jacket off.

The 20 year old white-Blonde haired man turned in his seat and looked at the documents.

"Male, Aged 26, Name is Anthony Beverlyn  and his wife said he was on Depressants and went for a walk at around 7pm that night." Gideon looked down the page. "Also says here that Bill was on patrol at the time and he actually gave a statement"

Dipper raised an eyebrow as he went over to the board and pinned up a picture of the victim along with all of the other 129 murder victims that were on the board.

"What was his statement?"

" It was 'I was walking along the beach before going home that evening when I heard a loud scream before I ran around the corner and it seemed the man had jumped from the cliff so I called the police.' and thats it." Gideon put the papers down and went back on his computer.

"Was the man fully intact?" Dipper asked.

"Yes, Police left the crime scene at night and next morning his body was ate only a few bones remained."

"Hmm now out of all of these murders what is the connection..." Dipper pondered. "The thing doing this might have a motive."

"Well I did some research." Pacifica butted in. She wore glasses and a lap coat along with a slim normal dress and heels.

"And?"

"It seems that everyone who was killed had a link to the Depth Killers."

"The what?" Gideon asked snorting.

"Depth Killers, In the 16th century men in this town were killing Mermaids-"

"Oh not this folk lore again..." Dipper sighed flopping down into his seat in defeat.

"Im being Serious Dipper!" Pacifica yelled.

"Fine what else?"

"A few men a few centuries ago killed these creatures out of cold blood for sport, they were known as the depth killers. Mermaids used to trick them with their charms and kill them back for revenge."

"What does this have to do with the murders now?" Gideon asked.

"They all have a link to them, their ancestors were apart of this society and some say they are some still out there trying to hunt for these creatures." Pacifica drank some tea out of her cup.

"So what your saying is there is a society right now hunting for these non existent creatures and maybe just maybe the creatures are fighting back... Oh god this is going no where!" Dipper huffed pinching his nose from stress.

"She has a point Dipper." Wendy placed something down on his desk.

Dipper looked down and saw golden scales. It cant be.

"Where was this-"

"Next to the bones that remained." Wendy replied quickly.

"Fascinating." Dipper held them up to the light.

"Dip your meant to be a supernatural researcher how come you dont believe in mermaids?" Gideon asked.

"I dont know it just seems un likely."

"We have permission to go look at the crime scene." Wendy said grabbing her coat.

"Great lets go." Dipper said getting up.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They got to the scene and Dipper saw Police with Bill asking more questions. He gave a glance but couldn't say anything.
"Mr Pines we have yet another victim seems he committed suicide." The officer said looking down at the pile of meatless bones.
"Thats how they all mostly died." Dipper said.
"Out of all of the 204 victims ever in this town only 129 were suicides." Wendy muttered writing things down.
Police left Bill to go home and Dipper walked over to him and flicked his ear.
"Hey! What was that for!" Bill whined.
"Not telling me you found a dead body you ass!" Dipper growled. He saw Bill's eyes tear up.
Dipper instantly felt bad for the tanned blonde.
"Oh Im sorry love Im just tired." Dipper hugged him gently.
"Its fine."
"Anyways what were you still doing out last night statements say you left the scene at 8:10pm after the death but didn't come home until around 1am drenched in sea water...again!" Dipper explained.
"Oh I was doing extra work." Bill rubbed the back of his neck.
"With your clothes on?" Dipper asked.
"Sure, gotta be prepared for any accidents."Bill shrugged.
"And how come the officers checked the beach but never saw you?" Dipper glared.
"I was pretty far out."
"On a boat? There were no boats out." Dipper quickly snapped.
"Hey what is this!? Some sort of crime interrogation?" Bill sneered pulling away from his boyfriend.
"Im just asking because I care about you plus its weird."
"I am weird!" Bill argued.
"I know that for sure..." Dipper muttered.Bill flicked the brunette on his ear. "What was that for?!"
"Being cheeky ya smart arse."
"Dork." Dipper scoffed.
"Nerd."
"Boys boys can we just leave it?" Pacifica groaned looking over at them.
Bill put his hands on his curvy hips and sighed. "Fine." Dipper watched his every move.
Bill was very feminine and curvy. Looked more female than male accept from his hair cut. His hair was blonde that faded to brown at the ends and his face was  tanned with freckles. His lips were plump and his eyes were an unnatural golden color. Sometimes Dipper swore he saw his pupils go into a straight line when angry. Bill also had quite sharp nails and weirdly white teeth that no human could ever keep that perfectly white. He just assumed he used teeth whitener.
"Im going home cya later." Bill said before walking home.
"Bye..." Dipper shyly said back.
"Hey Dipper look!" Wendy pointed at a small trail of scales. It lead to the ocean.
Small golden scales that must have either fallen off or been dropped from the culprit of whatever ate this man's corpse.
"It goes out to sea..." Gideon gasped.
"ooo Can we use the new technology?!" Pacifica begged.
"Which one?" Dipper asked.
"I ordered cameras and these small robots that can swim to the bottom of the ocean that we can control with cameras." She stated.
"Yeah we could put some in the shallow part of the seat and some on land to catch whatever did this." Wendy nodded.
"Where would we control it from?" Dipper huffed.
"Life guard base around the corner?" Gideon suggested.
"Sure." Pacifica said.
"Good plan now lets get this set up."
