Severus's house

Rose looked at her father.  "I can't answer yet,  dad. I need to spend more time around him.  I'm sorry. "And with that,  she left the room.

Severus sat down on his bed.  As he did so,  his phone let out a familiar ringtone.

Hear my thoughts in every note

Perfect timing.  He unlocked his phone and read the message.

Harry: did you ask her yet,  babe?
Severus:yeah.  Negative.  She said she wants to spend more time with you before she could allow you to move in. I'm sorry.
Harry: its alright.  I mean, it'll be a big thing for her. Its been only you two for her entire life,  for the most part.  And when it wasn't,  she was being abused.  So I don't blame her for not liking me.
Severus:yeah. Thanks for understanding... I'm going to go.  I need to make sure rose is okay.
Harry: ok. Love you
Severus: love you too
Do through the house to Rose's room.  He opened the door to see Rose laying on the bed,  on the side closest to the door but turned away from the door. 

Severus sat down on the bed, in front of Rose. Without words,  he held his arms out. Rose sat up and hugged him before sitting gently on his lap.  Severus kissed her head gently.  He then laid down.  "You seem tired. " he said.

"I really am." Rose said,  nuzzling her face into his chest.

"Issues with Rachel or the channel?" Rose had a YouTube channel where she did covers of Japanese music.  She often stayed up late translating entire songs. She also had a girlfriend named Rachel.  Rach had been her friend for 5 years.  She had severe depression,  which caused Rose to worry constantly.

"Both.  Rach was trying to cut.  After that Joce tried too. So I had my girlfriend and my ex try to kill themselves in one night.  Then after they were regulated,   I started translating my next song and I couldn't find a word. So I was up till 5. "
