(A/N: oh my! Sorry this took so long to upload, I was having some personal issues and was unable to continue, but here is the third installment to the story! Sorry it's so short! And it's not as good but my writing and inspiration has been lacking lately so please forgive me! But I hope you enjoy and please leave some suggestions! Like I said, my inspiration has been lacking! Enjoy!)I walked out the back way of the house and saw a white haired man sat against the wall with a book loosely in his hands while he stared off into the distance. He looked lost. He looked angry, regretful, I couldn't really tell. But he didn't look happy.
"Minhyuk?" I asked. He blinked and looked at me sitting up slightly. A soft smile flew to his face and he immediately looked different. He looked so much happier.
"(Y/N), I was wondering when I could talk to you" he smiled as he patted the stone floor beside him "come sit" he said. I took up his offer and sat beside him.
"What's the book called?" I asked as I lifted it from his lap.
"Its called 'Secret', it's my favourite" he said as he handed the book to me. It looked old and tattered. The pages were stained and frail. The cover was dry leather with golden letters reading 'Secret' imprinted in the dark material.
"It looks old..." I said as I looked at the object in my hand "have you had it for long?"
"I've had it since I was born" he explained "my mother used to read it to me every night before I went to sleep. It's one of the last things I have to remember her"
"Would you tell me what happened to her?" I asked quietly. I could tell it brought back a memory. But none the less he went on to tell me.
"I was nineteen" he began "Walking home from getting food. The streets were quiet. The quietest they had ever been. But the quietness didn't last much longer. There was a huge bang and a cloud of dark smoke rose over the building in front of me. I recognised the direction the smoke came from..."
"Your home?"
"Yes...I ran to the smoke and saw the building I had once called home was now a pile of burning rubble. I called for my mother but I knew she was already gone. The smoke and fire was too much for her to survive but I still searched through the rubble. In a way I found her, but not in the state I wanted to see her. The only thing intact from the explosion, was that book. I took it and left. Leaving my home and my mother behind to wander and watch the world around me begin to fall"
"Minhyuk..." I said as I placed the book in his hands. "Can you tell me what the book is about?"
"Well it's not really about anything. It's a poem book" he explained as he opened it.
"What's your favourite poem?" I asked him as he flicked carefully thought the burned out pages.
"Its call Eternity. It's only short but it's the one she told me to remember" he explained and he stopped and pointed to the bold black title.
"Can you read it to me?" I asked as I moved a little closer to him.
"He who binds to himself a joy, Does the winged life destroy, He who kisses the joy as it flies, Lives in eternity's sunrise" he read in a soft voice
"Wow...that's nice" I said softly as I looked at him. He didn't look at me.
"What about you?" He asked
"Huh?" I asked not knowing what he was talking about.
"Why are you here? Where are your parents?" He asked still not looking at me.
