Michaels p.o.v.

She makes me blush so bad it’s not even funny. We got into the car and Bill headed to the best coffee place I know. “So did they say when you have to come back?” after she had left, they pretty much stopped asking questions and told me the next court date, “Yeah, I have to be there Thursday to meet with the Chandlers and their attorney.” She seemed steamed, “This is all stupid.” I sighed, “I know…” we talked here and there while in the car, “We’re here.” Bill called out. I opened the door and helped Christina out, “Thank you,” she smiled and curtsied holding her imaginary dress. I chuckled, “No problem.” We headed into the little coffee shop and of course just like everywhere else I go, I got a bunch of stares and under-the-breath whispers directed at me. I tried my best to ignore them putting my attention on Christina, “So what are you gonna get?” I asked her looking up at the menu myself. “ummmm I’m thinking a vanilla frapachino, what about you?” I’m not a big coffee drinker so I took a glance at the tea section of the menu, “Probably a chi tea.” We ordered and found a spot to sit until they called our names. I could see my bodyguards standing about inside and outside the building attempting to give me space, no matter how far away they stood or if I brought less of them, I would never truly know what it felt like to just go out by myself and not worry about being yelled at and mobbed. I sighed at the thought and focused on Christina who seemed to have noticed how deep in thought I was. “Everything alright Michael?” I tried to give her a convincing smile, everything felt like it was falling apart around me and I could feel the judgment oozing off of just about everyone in this place. “Yeah…… I’m fine.” She tried to smile but I could tell by her eyes she knew I wasn’t being completely truthful, but her eyes also told me that she understood me. She reached over the table and patted my hand, “Just remember, you’re not in any way alone in this. You have your family, friends, your fans, and you definitely have me.” It made my insides gush at her statement; I smiled and really took in the feeling of safety she made me feel. It was quiet until we got our drinks, just around that time it seemed as if somebody had gone through town telling everyone that Michael Jackson was at the coffee shop because Christina pointed out a bunch of people practically running towards the shop. My bodyguards ushered us out of the building and back into the car with our barely touched drinks. I didn’t want to drop her off yet, I wanted to spend time with her so I made up an idea, “So since our time at the coffee shop ran out, how bout I finally show you Neverland?” her eyes lit up and she smiled widely, “I would love that.” “Great.” And with that we headed off back to my magical escape of a home.
