Elena's POV

"Harry, slow down!" I grab onto the 'oh shit' handle that's above my head and hang on for dear life. How fast is this car moving right now? I'm afraid to even look to see for myself. Harry looks over at me and smirks, pressing down further on the gas pedal.

Is he trying to get us killed? "Relax, sweetheart. I know how to drive." My stomach flutters when he calls me sweetheart.

Don't get too excited. He probably told that to a million other girls before you.

"I'm not going to relax until you slow this car down." A turn is coming up and I about already pissed my shorts. It's like he has a death wish or something. "Look, if you slow down I will do whatever you want for a week!" I blurt out, closing my eyes tightly as for we are just a few feet away from the corner, waiting for us to slide off the road.

Nothing happens. In fact, I don't even think the car is moving anymore. I open one eyelid to see that we are still moving, going the speed limit. I let out a breath of relief while turning to look at Harry who is already staring at me.

"Deal." Harry responds, looking my body over with a smirk that I'm familiar with now.

--------------------------

"You want me to what, for a week?!" I nearly scream at Harry, causing several people to look our way. We are currently eating in a small restaurant that Harry stopped by because he got hungry. "Take a picture, it will last longer." I snap at them.

"I want you to pretend to be my girlfriend for a week at school." He repeats, biting down on to the hamburger on his plate.

"Did you forget the part where I'm your step sister?"

"They don't have to know that. And we don't have to do anything of that sort. We just have to pretend that we are together and make them believe it."

"What do you get out of this?" I quirk an eyebrow at him.

"This girl in our school. She can't seem to take no for an answer. If she sees that I'm dating you, she will back off."

"And if it doesn't work?"

"It will."

"Fine." I cross my arms over my chest and sigh. "I will be your girlfriend for a week." He smiles at this which makes my heart beat speed up slightly faster. "What are the rules?"

"There are no rules."

What did I just get myself into?

---------------

"Are you ready?" Harry asks me, as we pull up to the school. I look over at him and shake my head no. "It won't be that bad. Besides, dating me will make you popular."

That's what I'm afraid of. I don't like all of the attention on me.

"Let's go." He gets out of his car and walks over to my door. He opens it for me so I get out and smile at him for show. "Make sure you make it look believable." He whispers in my ear as he shuts my door back, goosebumps now rising on my skin.

My eyes look around to see there are already several people staring at us but I ignore them. Once we are inside the building, Harry takes my hand into his, intertwining them together. His hand is so much bigger compared to my small hand. I ignore the feeling it brings to me. Everyone in the cafeteria stops what they are doing, and just stares.

"I need to go get my schedule from the office." I tell him before releasing my hand from his, leaving him behind. As I walk past people, they clear the way for me, whispering silently to their friends. "I'm here for my schedule." I tell the office lady who looks up at me with a smile. She hands it to me without a word and then continues to go back to the paperwork in front of her. As soon as I walk out, I bump into Harry.

I have to keep myself from glaring at him since everyone and their mother is watching our every move. Is it really that big of a deal that Harry has a 'girlfriend.' Is it because he's never actually had a girlfriend to show off? Or has he had a girlfriend before?

"What class do you have first?"

I look down at my schedule.

"Um, English."

"I'll show you the way." He puts his hand on the lower part of my back, making me shiver slightly. He pushes me forward with a gentle force of his hand so I start walking in the direction he's guiding me.

Everyone clears the way for us. This is weird. I don't like it. I can feel everyone staring at me. Judging me. Some probably jealous but most probably mad. All because I'm 'dating' Harry.

"This is it." Harry stops us in front of a door that has a nametag. It says, Mr. Ackerman.

"Thank you for walking me to class, babe." I quickly shut my mouth when babe slips out. Harry smiles at this. He leans down and places his lips on my cheek ever so gently. Heat rushes to my cheeks as he pulls away. He gives me one last smile before walking away.

When I walk into the classroom, there are only a couple seats available. One seat that's available has a boy sitting in it with bad dandruff. I think I'm going to pass on that seat. Another seat is in front of a guy who is staring at me in a creepy way.

Pass.

The last seat I see available is next to a blonde blue-eyed girl. She's busy looking down at her phone, scrolling through it carelessly. She looks harmless. I walk over to the seat and sit down.

"Dude, I love your shoes!" I look over to see it's the blonde girl who had spoken to me. She then looks up at me and gives me a smile.

"Thank you." I respond, smiling slightly. I'm not good at making conversation with someone I don't know. I always make it awkward.

"I'm Haylie."

"Elena."

"I know. You're the girl dating Harry Styles. You stepped into this building like five minutes ago and everyone is already talking about you." She rolls her eyes playfully.

"I know it's crazy."

"So, you should sit with me at lunch today." I nod my head and smile. "Harry can sit with us too if he wants. I want you to meet my two best friends. They're going to love you. Especially Katrina. She loves a girl who has fashion sense and you clearly do." I blush slightly at this, not used to being complimented.

----------

When lunch comes around, I follow Haylie into the cafeteria. Once again, everyone clears the way for us. When I try and wait in line, everyone moves to the side and looks at me expectantly.

"What's with them?" I ask Haylie who only shakes her head with a smile.

"You're dating Harry. You don't have to wait in line. Everyone looks up to him and will do anything to be on his good side. Which includes being nice to the girl he's with." She tells me like it's the obvious thing in the world.

I wonder how many girls he's been with.

"I can wait in line." I insist so everyone gets back into line, whispering to each other again.

"Damn, I was hungry." Haylie mutters, making me giggle.

A pair of strong arms wraps around me from behind, taking me by surprise. I turn around to see Harry standing there with a smile on his face.

"How's your day going so far?" He asks me, giving me a peck on the cheek.

"Good, so far." I give him a small genuine smile. I know he's faking the whole 'I care' act but a part of me is not acting. I actually like this side of him even though it's fake.

I just hope this week goes by fast so I don't have to fake date him anymore.
