Jimin didn't move much, well, he couldn't really. He was in a straight jacket and the only time they unbuckled his arms was to let him eat. He was always given disgusted looks and was now used to having rude comments thrown his way. They didn't matter to him. They didn't know.
They didn't know why he did it, the more they asked the less he wanted to tell them. It may seem childish, but just because he killed a girl didn't make him a psychopath. She deserved it.
Jimin sat quietly, staring at the wall across from his bed. It had scratches and cracks running through it, probably other prisoners who have tried to get out of this cell. This was a normal day for him now.
Except something was different today, as the clock on his wall struck 11:30 am, a guard opened his cell door. This guard was nicer then the rest, he didn't always ridicule Jimin. Because the guard, Okumura, knew. Jimin has told him and Okumura was on his side.
"Come on Jimin, you've got a visitor." Okumura said. Jimin cocked his head to the side but stood up anyway, walking quietly out of the cell, in front of Okumura.
"Another reporter?" Jimin asked quietly. He had had 15 reporters try to get in contact with him, if this was another one, what made them special?
"Nope, new psychiatrist got assigned to you. You'll like her." Okumura said. Jimin could hear the smirk in his voice. That sent another wave of questions through Jimin's head.
"You people really trust me around a girl?" Jimin asked teasingly, "who knows, since apparently I'm a psychopath now, I might try and kill this one too."
Okumura let a laugh out at that. "In all the time that you've been here and all the hot reporters that have tried to get in contact with you, you haven't tried to kill a single one. Like I said, you'll like this one."
Jimin's curiosity only grew by the second. "What's her name?"
"I only know her as Miss Mizuko." Okumura said.
Jimin only shrugged and finally stopped at a big metal door, Okumura had to walk around him to get the door open, but once it was, Jimin spotted a girl in an oversized hoodie and leggings with a clipboard in her hand.
Jimin tilted his head to the side in confusion. She smiled at him as he walked and sat himself in the chair across from her.
"Who are you?" He asked hesitantly. She seemed confused by that.
"Oku didn't tell you?" She asked, looking up at Okumura, who was standing to my right. This was his new doctor? Jimin doubted that.
"Calm yourself, Mizzy. I told him." Okumura replied. That confused Jimin further.
"You're my new doctor?" He finally asked. His head was tilted slightly and his hair fell to cover one of his eyes.
The new doctor giggled at that.
"Yep! My names Kira Mizuko, nice to meet you Jimin." She said happily. She picked up her clipboard and wrote something down quickly before putting it back down, "come sit, I prefer to have a good bond with my patients before I actually start classifying this as 'work'."
Jimin hesitantly made his way over to the table, Okumura moving as well. That seemed to bother the new doctor.
"Oku, unlock him and back off." She said harshly.
Jimin was positively astonished by the sudden sass.
But Okumura did exactly what she said, moving to unlock Jimin's wrists before backing himself back into the corner of the room. Jimin quickly sat down, not wanting her sudden sass to turn onto him.
"You don't have to worry Jimin, I just didn't want you to be uncomfortable in here with me, I specially requested a room with no cameras and specifically requested my old pal Okumura because I knew you were comfortable with him." She said smiling. Jimin's eyes glanced to her clipboard where he looked at the note she had written.
Easily surprised by the unexpected.
"What's the catch." He whispered, his eyes still on her clipboard.
"No catch, just your trust and respect. I want you to be able to still live a normal life even though it won't be the same." She said. She picked up her clipboard again and scribbled something else down.
Jimin's eyes flicked up to meet hers. "Why?"
She smiled at that.
"They miss you."
Jimin's eyes grew to the size of planets as he leaned forward and start bombarding her with questions, how were they, where were they, was everyone okay?
"Jimin, honestly that's not the only reason I'm here." She said again, her mood suddenly turning serious as she put her board down again.
Jimin had to put a mental lock on his mouth, stopping all of his questions from flooding out of his mouth.
"I don't believe the press." She said again.
Jimin's eyes went to her clipboard again and looked at her note, before she said.
"I think that it was some sort of self defense." She whispered. Jimin's fingers started to tremble as he read her newest scribble.
Easily manipulable.
Jimin's fists and eyes clenched shut as he sat back in his chair.
"Take your time Jimin." She said. Jimin was taking deep breaths to try and calm himself down. He was chanting things in his head. Things like 'not again', 'she doesn't understand', and 'she's innocent.'
He felt himself slowly calm down, his fists unclenching as he rubbed his cheeks gently. He could hear her pen hitting the clipboard as she was writing something else.
"I want today to be simple for you Jimin. The faster we get through these next sessions the fast they'll be allowed to come visit you." She said quietly, Jimin's eyes opening to meet hers.
"Why did you kill her?" She asked. Jimin couldn't remember how many times he had been asked this. It was more then 100 at the point, by the end of the one month period it might even make 500 at this rate.
He could do nothing but sit there and stare at her intently. She really was beautiful, and if he wasn't in prison, he might even have asked for her number.
But he was in prison, for killing a different girl. So this beauty in front of him was probably just like the rest, getting the answers they wanted and then leaving.
"Because she deserved it."
Kira's smile widened at that. She wrote another quick note down before putting the clipboard down. Jimin read the last two notes she had made.
He couldn't help but smile, she could read people.
Obvious signs of past traumatic events causing damage to patients emotional and mental abilities. However, damage appears to be completely restored, possible cause, murder?
And the second.
Very obviously not insane. No notable guilt. Killing the girl seems to have put an ease to him.
"Am I right?" Kira asked. Jimin looked up at her again and became confused again. She had her eyes shut and her lip between her teeth as both of her hands had her fingers crossed.
"...yes?" He replied hesitantly.
"YES!" She cheered, jumping out of her chair and doing a sort of victory twirl before sitting back down, "sorry, but I knew I wasn't wrong about you."
"What do you mean?" He asked.
She was still having her own little celebration until he asked that, but she looked up at him and smiled.
"I don't think you're a dangerous man, Jimin, I think you were provoked or brainwashed." She said again.
Jimin was in a constant state of confusion.
"You've never even had a speeding ticket for Christ's sake, and then suddenly you kill someone, how can no one else but me find that weird." She said as she smiled and giggled to herself.
Jimin was still positively shook.
