[ Although we seem like the perfect fit, we had a world of differences. ]

I had a long day at school today. Time passed by excruciatingly slow. Days feels like years when we are apart. The Kaitlyn that I knew turned into a different person overnight. Maybe I was just overthinking, well I hoped that I was. She had suddenly turn a cold shoulder towards me. Her eyes were never still and she never looked at me except in passing. I had never really encountered her today, it was as if she was avoiding me. I was concerned. It was a protracted sense of worry.

I had grab my belongings and was ready to head back home, I had been waiting for nearly an hour by the entrance but there wasn't any sight of her. I was walking down the usual street, bare and isolated when I spotted a young girl, about a few years younger and she was waving at me anxiously. I approached her and tried to calm her down. I had directed a few questions at her before I could understand the situation. She was real panicky. She pointed her tiny hands to the direction of the woods, "Help her, please!" I rushed into the thick forestry immediately, I spotted a teenage girl with beautiful long hair weeping by a tree. She looked like Kaitlyn, I thought. "Hey, what's wrong?" My voice had a caressing touch to it. She turned around to face me, it was really her. My heart couldn't take the emotional toll of her looking so hurt. I ran to her and grabbed her into an embrace, I felt something warm soaking my shirt. It was a deep, dark colour of red.

[ Blood. ]

[ My heart shattered into a million pieces. ]

I couldn't understand what happened but I pulled her into a tighter embrace, she leaned towards my chest and cried uncontrollably. "Kait, we need to stop the bleeding," I looked into my bag for something that could control the bleeding but there was nothing. I spotted a sharp razor lying next to her. That was when I grasped the situation, Kaitlyn tried to attempt suicide but she was afraid to. I grabbed the razor and cut out a piece of the shirt I was wearing and secured it around the long, clean cut on her arms. I carried her on my back and ran straight out of the woods.

[ We arrived at my house minutes later, my parent's were out. I heaved a sign of relief. ]

I was gasping frenziedly, but it didn't hinder my priorities. I went to a drawer where all the medical supplies and dressings were stored. Thank God my mother was a nurse, or else we probably wouldn't even have these at home. I sat down beside Kaitlyn, her face was still stained with tears. I took a piece of cloth and wiped the copious amount of tears present on her face. I assessed her wound after, the cut was deep and long. About the length of my longest finger. I applied a piece of gauze on the cut, she was hurting, I could tell but she was trying to hold it in. She was a courageous girl. "A-Andrew, I-I'm sorry..." she stuttered. "It's alright, silly." I put up a cheerful smile on my face.

"So what happened?"
